I reserved a "suite" and received a "cottage". High traffic street in front and an alley behind restaurants in back. Loud traffic all night in front and garbage pickup in back at 5:20 am. Not exactly conducive to a good night's sleep. Had to walk down the alley, across a street, and through a parking lot to get breakfast and check out. I was told at check-in that breakfast with omelettes along with a variety of other things would be available starting at 6:00 am. I went in at 6:30am and the breakfast area was barren. No food, no staff, no explanation. Will select another hotel next time.

We went to Port St Joe to celebrate New Year's with friends who were staying a month in their RV just down the road. This appeared to be a great choice as we don't typically stay in Air BNB and hotel choices are limited. We brought our dog, so that limited choices even more. We were placed in a Bay View cottage, which was a great location in the middle of town across from the Bay. However, what wasn't told was there are full time low income residents in the other Cottages adjacent to the one we stayed in. The residents had at least 3 children under the age of four. Again, thats fine, but was completely unexpected. The kids were boisterous, as most toddlers are which woke us up each morning (much earlier than we wanted). The walls were so thin we could hear all conversations and the back of the cottage adjoined a alleyway where the trash truck picked up dumpsters around 5am two of the six mornings we were there. The staff was really nice and the hotel itself was cute but not pet friendly. We did enjoy having our own kitchen, however I wouldn't recommend this place for a relaxing getaway because of the road noise, low income housing residents, and thin walls. I tried to talk my husband into going to the new hotel across the street but he refused because we had already paid over $1000 for our stay.

The Inn offers classic charm & attention to detail

The desk staff are friendly & efficient as well as the grounds & housekeeping personnel. Flavorful & healthy options were available for breakfast & coffees & teas as well as cookies were available in the evening. The room had classic heavy doors as well as a soft light outside each door to the rooms. The bathroom floor tiling was a classic weave look the provided some traction when wet. The furniture too provided spaces to keep your items out of the way & a charging port by the bedside. Our room came with a microwave as well as a refrigerator & actual glassware for water or cold beverages. There are quality k cups for the in room coffee (& green tea also). The Inn is walking distance of a block or two from shops & cafes. The Inn also has bikes to ride & enjoy this lovely area. This is a great place to unwind & recharge.

Quaint , cozy and clean

Quaint, cozy and clean Inn in the heart PSJ . The hotel front desk ladies were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had several conversations that were both informative and engaging. We will visit this little town again!
