We stayed one night here so that we could take the bioluminescence kayak tour at Bahia Rica nearby. It was so nice to have a bed within walking distance after the tour! Alanzo was a terrific host and cooked us the most delicious authentic Costa Rican breakfast and dinner. For the price, everything was excellent! Just know that it is quite rustic lodging... it is more like cabin camping than a hotel. The room has no AC or glass on the windows (there are screens). It really brings you close to nature and gives you a raw Costa Rican experience. I definitely recommend it for a night, just for the experience!
I stayed here New Yearâs Eve and had a great evening. The room was large and had a fan for the heat. The windows only had screens and no glass, so consider that if booking (obviously no air conditioning). The host was very friendly and spoke excellent English. They had a special New Yearâs Eve dinner, which was delicious.
Really friendly and helpful family run business. Good food (breakfast and home cooked dinner) and provided us with a taxi service to and from the ferry. Accommodation really basic but comfortable enough. No aircon but with fans in the room it was cool enough to sleep at night after the rain. Great location if you are doing trips with Bahia Rica.
