excellent location next to the city hall , Notre Dame , St Michel , le Marais , Beaubourg Pompidou very quiet.
but steep narrow stairs to get in , no one to get in touch ( no answer on the phone ) , difficult to find the sheets and towels in the canape box
The apt had a good location in Le Marais. It was a bit smaller than I expected. The kitchen could use a little extra stuff, like salt & paper, napkins, coffee and cooking oil. The toilet was too close to the sink and you had to use sideways. The pics are not exactly what you get.
This place is truly the worst place I have stayed in my life. There is no front desk, no person to greet--it is just an old apartment that you must to figure out how to get in which I finally got by What's App mail. They sent me 3 code numbers--entrance, stairs, and room key box. I entered the old apartment building and walked a dimly lit narrow hallway and at the end of it, there was a narrow (4ft wide) steep stairs to climb. Imagine you have to carry a suitcase by yourself, and at the top of stairway, I had to search for the code to open while trying to hold on to the suitcase. Then I had to open a key box to find the room key. The room was small. There were only two small windows with no view. Those windows are covered by iron bars and I could not open the windows. It is a fire trap--a very dangerous situation if there is a fire. There was no bed except a sofa bed which could not make to a full bed. The bathroom is tiny. It had a very narrow (about 2 feet wide) shower room. No place to put soap or shampoo. The toilet had very tiny space in front so that I had to sit sideway to use it. The bathroom had an opening in the ceiling on which I saw a water heater is exposed. The list goes on and on. I frequently use Expedia to book hotels (check my record). This place is by far the worst place and you should not list such horrible place. It is not a hotel. It is just an old, badly managed apartment room. Expedia should be ashamed by this listing. Contact me for photos.
The property is right in city center so is convenient to get to most of the tourist attraction. Very close to the metro which is also a plus. If you have bigger luggages or are 2 bigger individuals, you might find the place too small because there isn't much room to layout your luggage. There is a flight of harrow stairs so be mindful if you have bigger size or heavy luggages which you need to carry up by yourself.
The property is great if you are mostly out due to the compact size.
The host is very responsive which assisted me quite a bit in knowing where the things are around the flat.
The room was not ready at arrival time.
No communication was given into when it would be ready either. They simply forgot to tell me when they finally got it cleaned. So had to spend hours meandering about Paris in the rain before it was all sorted. Was offered compensation in writing, on three different occassions, but that was obviously a con to get me off theor backs. Once I left the room, there was no compensation, off course!!! Oh, but they threatened to charge me extra if I attempted to leave an hour after check out!!! DOUble standards galore.
The room itself is so so, with a very uncomfortable bed, a sink that clogs up, and no natural light at all. The photo on the site is using artificial light, just keep that in mind. All of it is acceptable for the low price, plus the great thing is the location, within 5 minutes from Les Halles. But really, the folks managing this property are not trustworthy at all, and left me with a terrible taste.
