## Emplacement
Former small rural village, Aubervilliers is part of the metropolis of Greater Paris and touches Paris. Served by the Paris metro, Aubervilliers now benefits from an important public transport network allowing it to explore the most beautiful sites of this part of the Île-de-France. Formerly known as Notre-Dame-des-Vertus, the town was from the middle of the 14th century to the end of the 18th century an important place of pilgrimage because of a miracle that appeared in one of the churches.
