Nice but expensive. Excessive noise didn’t matter

I had a great time. The first night was nice I stayed in a handicapped room. The second night was not so good as I had people above me that were super loud and they kept me up all night and I didn’t get to sleep. I finally phoned the front desk and I had to leave a message and no one got back to me. I asked for a discount in the morning, but the manager wasn’t around twice and they told me to leave and she would call me. They called me and told me they couldn’t do anything for me. I should’ve come back down in my pyjamas and said something or kept phoning and it was basically my fault and that they could only give me a discount if I came back and I hung up on them. The front desk said there’s problems with noise in that room before so I thought that was pretty harsh. I wasn’t asking for a full day discount. I was asking for consideration that I didn’t get to sleep and I had a 3 1/2 hour drive ahead of me in a winter condition conditions

Poor communication and management

As soon as we finished our check in process and paid the full amount , that’s when the host at the front desk then told us that there’s currently so cable or satellite for the televisions in the rooms of the hotel.. if I pay for a room that comes with a “ satellite tv “ I expect nothing less of that. But was really surprised me was there was no discount or apology for it. If I knew prior to paying that I wouldn’t have a working tv all night I would have went to another hotel.

Overall the hotel was great, the outside had a broken fence that could seriously injure someone though- so hopefully that is fixed soon! Best Western also needs to find a new supplier for their soaps and shampoos, yikes! That stuff is awful, word to the wise- don’t forget your own stuff!
