Inviting Cabin on a quiet cul-de-sac in Payson.
This adorable A-frame is available for you to enjoy nestled on the edge of the Tonto National Forest. Escape to the cool pines of Payson and relax on one of the spacious decks. This traditional A-frame is the perfect getaway for couples and small families. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Tonto National Forest, you can enjoy all that The Rim country has to offer. Note: The cabin has A/C and heat.
The property was very small. The upstairs was very hot during the day even with the AC on the downstairs was hot too but not as bad. So if you rent this, you should rent it during the winter. There were ants in the kitchen and in the bathroom of one of the bedrooms. We saw deer almost daily walking through the back yard and through the neighborhood that was very fun to see. There is enough room for two SUVs to park in front, but there is no driveway. Our stay was very nice, the beds were comfortable to sleep in. It was a nice weekend getaway.
House was a good size for our family of 5. I liked the vintage vibes but wish there was a tv in the queen room. The neighborhood was a little run down but the cul-de-sac was actually very nice. There are huge power lines in the backyard but for the price it was a good value and the listing was quite accurate. Kids really enjoyed the loft!
Some friends and myself came up to hike for the day and decided to stay over. We found this cute place that fit all of us with plenty of space and having a hot tub was a great way to end the day of hiking! Beautiful and peaceful space. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and would love to come back for another stay!
Cute and very clean. A-Frame reminded us of childhood trips to lake and mountain cabins. Beds were comfortable. Heat works well. There are some uneven surfaces and steps to negotiate outside, but not a problem if you watch where you walk. Hot tub a modern plus. Outdoor sitting area is great. There are neighbors nearby and property is not fully fenced. Elk strolling by in the am was a gift.
Booked 3 nights, but my husband, 2 dogs & I only stayed 1.
The inside of the house is cute but the refrigerator inside had drops of something & dried food so we didn't want to put much in there.
The TV was unwatchable. We had to use our own user IDs for apps, or create new ones, and we don't put personal logins on equipment we don't own. So we tried their collection of DVD's but the color/contrast of the picture was distorted & unacceptable. We tried adjusting tint/color/contrast settings for several mins, but nothing corrected the issue.
The exterior: so many red ants in the back yard so couldn't stand anywhere for too long without danger of getting bit. We had to be extremely cautious & quick when taking our 2 dogs back there and strongly advise don't wear flip flops!!
The exterior property is a potential hazard with a loose steps on the side, and loose/broken concrete chunks on uneven ground in the front...you'll need a flash light at night to navigate safely.
We told this to the property agent & messaged we left after only 1 night but they never responded.
Overall rating is a 3 though since the queen size bed was so clean & comfortable.
We requested no $ refund and stayed at another rental in Payson which was a loss but that happens sometimes.
We had an enjoyable stay and the cabin was just what we needed. It was nice having the hot tub in the back so we could bring the kids out to swim and play. The seating in the front and back was enjoyable and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. The inside of the house was simple yet pleasantly decorated. Some features could benefit from some updating like the shower but overall, it wasn't a big deal. I would be happy to stay again and recommend to others. Mosquito spray was provided which was good. There were mosquitos in the house so we needed some at night. Overall, cute place and nice host.
The house was accurately listed as a cozy spot in a small mountain town. My wife and I stayed with our dog and spent the weekend hiking, playing games, and relaxing outdoors. Would recommend for small families looking for a relaxing weekend.
We really enjoyed staying in the cabin, my 17 year old daughter loved her big room upstairs just for her . We also loved watching the snow falling sitting by
the big windows !
My husband, me and my son relaxed watching movies by the fireplace .We even bake a pizza !! Definitely we are planning to come back .
