Not as good as it used to be

Food: not as many options as there used to be and closed some days during the week, I had Margarita Pizza, Great flavor, poor cooking My wife has chicken caesar salad chicken was bland no seasoning Room: clean safe and comfortable, no bathtubs, no full length mirror for the wife, coffee pot kind of funky you never did figure that out but coffee available in the lobby. There's a path that goes along the creek just behind the property unfortunately it's full of cow and bear poop, staff knows about it you think they'd clean it up periodically? Speaking of bears we are out in the wild, keep an eye on your kids and pets. Internet seem to work okay although we didn't use it much if you turn on Wi-Fi calling your phone will work

Okay, just a few issues.

Overall our stay was good. The area is nice, the rooms were clean and well kept, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There were a few things we had issues with. The bed was very hard. The meat at the restaurant tasted like lighter fluid, there was no cell phone service and the wifi didn't work. The room did have a microwave and fridge so we were able to get food from a store in Payson so we didn't have to eat at the restaurant again and they did have lind lines so we could call out so it wasn't too inconvenient. No more that if we got a cabin in the woods

The property is welcoming. Staff were accommodating and helpful. There is an instant feeling of relaxation and peace. Sitting on a deck, listening the a creek, the smell of the pines, all a perfect antidote the the heat and rush of Phoenix.

Love the atmosphere here and beautiful property. Great amenities although it would be nice if the restaurant was open while we were there (on Monday). Even a limited menu or a breakfast bar but we dealt with it and thankful for the nice size fridge & microwave. We'll be back! (Maybe not on a Monday though :) )

Cons: restaurant was closed Mon thru Thursday even though there are no other restaurants within 10 miles so no breakfast. Charged a $20 resort fee for a pool and small gym. Pros: each room had a small balcony. Room was clean with all the expected accessories. Bed was comfortable.

A unique historic property in a beautiful quiet setting. Enjoyed Zane Grey BBQ. Of course Hilton properties always deliver on bed comfort. Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff!

The property is conveniently located near Forest Lake.. Surrounded by trees with a little hiking trail along a creek. Jenn the Asst Mngr was very kind and helpful. We were happy with our stay and will return.

It was a last minute overnight for us and We were only there from 830p to 10a so, unfortunately, we weren’t able to take advantage of any of the amenities other than the kitchenette. We would love to be able to go back and spend a few days there.
