A luxurious escape above Varenna!

This beautiful property is situated on the first floor of the modern residence complex with shared pool which is built in an historical quarry on the sunny Varenna hillside and which offers guests a tranquil and memorable holiday experience!

The property boasts high quality and stylish accommodation throughout with a spacious and bright Open Plan Living area which offers WIFI access and which features a fully-fitted modern Kitchen with all the desired appliances including a Dishwasher, a Dining table and a contemporary and comfortable seating area with Sofa, Sat TV with DVD Player. A Bose docking system for IPODs also features.

From the Living area large French doors open out onto a Balcony terrace with a dramatic panoramic vista of Lake Como, which will take your breath away! A breakfast table is situated here to make the most of this spectacular view point.

The property offers a very stylish Master Bedroom with King size Bed, as well as a Double Sofa bed to the living area, which can be adapted to sleep an additional 2 guests if required.

A newly fitted Shower room with Washing machine is also situated in the property.

Outside guests can enjoy the resident Swimming pool and sunbathing area which is situated in a pretty sheltered and sunny spot.

*Please note the WiFi signal can be weak due to the hillside location*

A car is highly recommended due to the hillside location of the Residence.

Guests can easily reach Varenna by car. The early Victorian part of Varenna provides a choice of lake view Cafes, many fine Villas and the famous and historical Castello di Vezio, which is situated on the Varenna hillside and which features frequent Falconry displays and medieval re-enactments during the Summer-Autumn time. A picturesque lakeside promenade takes guests along to the romantic medieval part of Varenna, which features medieval passageways, cobbled Piazzas and ancient Churches. There are many delightful restaurants and wine bars to enjoy as well as boutique craft shops to visit.

The Car and Passenger Ferry as well as the Train service also operates from Varenna and Fiumelatte, providing guests with an enjoyable and care-free way of exploring Bellagio, Menaggio, other pretty Lake Como towns and also Milan.

In winter, scenery around Varenna is spectacular with snow-capped mountains and is very convenient for skiing in the resorts of Italy and Switzerland. The delightful resort Madesimo, north of Chiavenna is only 1.15 hours away by car., and the local ski resort of Piani di Bobbio,only 40 mins away. The International jet-set resort of St. Moritz is just 1.5hrs away by car or train.

Le logement est super, vue exceptionnelle, propre, tout le nĂ©cessaire. En revanche, grosse dĂ©ception Ă  la fin car nous avons oubliĂ©e une veste de marque dans le logement qui a sans doute Ă©tĂ© volĂ©e car l’équipe Abritel me dit ne pas l’avoir trouvĂ©. Mise Ă  part ça, je recommande pour le logement qui est trĂšs qualitatif.

Appartement trÚs bien placé,vue magnifique en revanche l'appartement n'était pas trÚs propre. Freezer endommagé, obligé de le dégivrer car la porte de ce dernier ne se fermait pas . De plus la douche était complÚtement bouchée ! Nous avons essayé de contacter l'agence pas de réponse. Donc nous avons joué les plombiers !

Enjoyed my stay.

Stay for three nights. Definitely a hike to get to the place but took the bus and taxi up a few times. Everyone knew where it was. Town had a small supermarket which was great. Lots of small restaurants nearby.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich habe bereits an Lke Como holiday geschrieben und keine Antwort erhalten.! es gab viele MĂ€ngel in dem Objekt: die Dusche lĂ€uft sehr schlecht ab man shet im Schmutzwasser,die Duschhandtuchstange fehlt ganz, die Bidetarmatur ist nicht benutzbar kommt kaum Wasser,der WC-sitz ist vergammelt, der Fernseher hat nur Itasl.Programm,das Sofa ist unsauber. wir haben die Wohnung am 15.5.24 morgens verlassen und die SchlĂŒĂŸel dem Reinigungsdienst ĂŒbergeben der gerade ans Objekt kam. ich bitte um eine RĂŒckzahlung kulanterweise fĂŒr den Do-Sa. es wĂ€re schön eine Antwort zu erhalten. Bring your walking shoes because it is a straight up trek! Better yet, get a taxi! The climb is on cobblestones. The apartment is simple but has stunning views. If you plan on cooking, bring spices as the cupboards are bare. There’s a local store up the hill that has basic amenities.

Nice apartment in the hills above Varenna

A spacious apartment with stunning views over Varenna and Lake Como. Well appointed and stocked with cutlery, utensils and so on , and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The apartment is a little bit showing some wear and tear with a few cracked tiles. The shower sometimes struggled to get warm and the drain needed a good clean. Main issue we had was with parking. The apartment is listed as having parking which was a must for us S we were on a multi week tour using a rental car. On receiving the pre checkin info it is disclosed that the parking is first come first serve, and not guaranteed. In several occasions returning to the apartment the parking was full, and we had to park on the narrow road leading to the complex, and this area was also often full. On a couple of occasions we luckily obtained the last spot but saw other guests in the complex unable to park due to unavailability of space. With no other parking available near to the complex this could have been an issue. The pool area was slightly disappointing, it was at the back of the complex and most of the view is of the apartments, rather than the lake. Maintenance was also a little lacking as the pool shower had a wasp nest in the drain, so clearly hadn’t been used for some time. Overall a nice apartment with a great view and well located for Varenna, but the lack of guaranteed parking was disappointing.

Beautiful location away from the hustle and crowds

Location was perfect t for us - away from the crowds of Varenna but you do need a car or be willing to walk up/ down the hill (25 mins and there are stairs so you don’t need to walk too much on the road). For the price would’ve expected things like wifi access to be detailed in the apartment (we had to ring the hosts to get the password) and some basic cooking supplies for the very well equipped kitchen like salt, pepper, olive oil. Really enjoyed our stay and the views from Apartment 7.

Nice place with points of improvement

It was a nice but not clean appartement, with a beautiful view over the lake. For older or disabled people you have to know that the only way to arrive the appartement is a stair with 52 steps!!!

Very Nice

Amazing views, spacious space. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located on a steep hill so if you are walking it’s a good exercise. We had a car but chose to walk and enjoyed it. The town of Varenna is little less touristy in comparison to Bellagio which is exactly what we wanted. Overall, perfect property and reasonably priced.

We want to go back

We ADORE the view from this place and found it very comfortable overall (although we were there during a heat wave and would have loved air conditioning -- or a fan that worked better than the one provided, which was pretty poor). We also enjoyed the pool each day and appreciated the washing machine. We WILL be back! :)
