Beautiful property and building. Loved the art and the chefs garden. Unfortunately we stayed on a Thursday so we could not try the restaurant but the free breakfast was fantastic and the homemade bacon and sausage were delicious. Root veg hash was awesome and something different.
Will definitely be back to stay and try the restaurant in the future.
Geougeous grounds with excellent art work inside. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Room was nice, kids loved the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub and steam room after a day of driving. We’ll be back!
There is no one at the front desk and you have to check in on your own according to the instructions sent to your email. I didn’t see the email regarding check out procedure until after I left! Really impersonal not to have someone to greet you or be available if you need anything. I was travelling for three days and had a cooler of drinks and snacks but there is no mini fridge in the room. Out of 6 pillows on the beds I immediately removed three because they were covered in hair!!! Because I am travelling I often get up and have breakfast early and am on the road by 8:00. However, breakfast doesn’t even begin until 8:00 and you only have the option of five menu items to order from. We got three of the five options and the food really wasn’t that great. For kids, it was definitely a miss! It also caused me to leave an hour later than I had wanted. The rooms are big but have not been let up. There are water stains on the walls, there are cracks on the walls and needs to be repainted. Food options for the evening are also very limited. Hotel restaurant is only open on the weekend. And many of the options in town close early (7-8 PM) or are only open certain days of the week. If I had known much of this beforehand I would not have booked here and would have chosen a bigger center such as Woodstock or Grand Falls, since we just needed an overnight on our three day drive.
We were so tired from travelling and was looking forward to a nice relaxing night and good night sleep. We arrived late but self check in was perfect! Large clean room with all the amenities. Breakfast was Amazing! Can't wait to come back.
What a find! This hotel is not a business but rather a charitable organization that supports its mandate by operating as a business. It’s rustic and feels very European. High end and yet completely unpretentious. The hotel and grounds are amazing. Our room showed its age - but that is part of the charm. All the other guests we spoke with were also quite pleasantly surprised. For the same price as ‘budget” hotels this was an experience rather than just an overnight stay. The spaces are so unique and interesting. There are very few restaurants in town and they seem to close early (the hotel restaurant is only open two nights a week) so plan your meals out before you arrive. Nearby Grand Falls has lots of options. The complimentary breakfast is a full served meal prepared by culinary students. The veggies are grown in their own garden. Nothing less than amazing. Highly recommended.
Beautiful Inn with great amenities! The indoor pool, steam room and hot tub were a highlight for us. Was very happily surprised by the delicious breakfast made by talented culinary students!
Belle auberge avec spa, piscine et sauna. Endroit tranquille, parfait pour une retraite. J'y retournerai certainement une orichaine fois. Nous étions une famille de 4 avec deux jeunes enfants.

Room was very spacious. The overall building was amazing. Every room and hallway was an experience. Food was excellent and the mini convenience store was a treat. Will be returning 100%
