The rooms were very small but surprisingly quiet considering the location. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby and only a short walk into the city centre or train station. No tea and coffee facilities in the room but can be accessed in the communal eating area. Overall it has a great vibe and good location.

The hotel is in a prime location and the hotel itself is really nice. I probably didn’t read the facilities properly but no coffee or tea facilities in my room was a big deal for me. My day starts after coffee and I don’t want to go out of my room for it or wait till the staff open up for breakfast. I’m an early riser. Staff were lovely, I like having 24hr reception. Cleanliness was great!!

Noisy location

Very noisy location - hotel surrounded by bars and clubs pumping out loud music until 4am. Police needed to disperse crowds at 430am. Sleeping drunks and tramps littering the street outside the hotel next morning. Room has little amenity - no safe, no tea or coffee making, no wardrobe

We only had one night at the Alex, but would have loved more! Stylish lobby, a useful common area one floor up, compact comfortable room and walk to everything in Perths CBD. Friendly staff, what more could you want!
