The property was fine. Pictures werenât super accurate it was dingey and dinged up - which is fine we were only staying for a weekend. They had NO hot water - the hot water heater was broken. I had to get a hotel and pay for transportation to and from because we were unable to shower. Had to cancel a business meeting because we couldnât wash off. Water was unbearably cold especially for mid-winter. They wonât give a refund. Theyâre also lying about our check out time even though we have proof we left on time and they can check their security cameras to verify this. They claim we never told them we made other accommodations but I have proof we informed them. They said theyâd send someone around 12PM on Saturday. No one arrived until 5:30PM. By that time we had to leave for a meeting and work obligations. Our stay was more than half way over. They refunded us 250 even though the cost of hotel and transportation was more than that. I should get a full refund but theyâre enacting policies and false information. Iâd stay away from the listing as they partake in deceptive and fraudulent business practices. Building is not up to code either. Overall dangerous. Avoid at all costs and just spend some extra money to stay somewhere that wonât rob you of money.
Came back home with friends to catch the Birds beating the Steelers. Got to show them Reading Terminal Market, City Hall, and McGillinâs all within a few blocks. Convenient to Suburban Station where we hopped the subway to the game. Will book this place again.
The apartment was a good space. My wife and I stayed with our 2 month and 2 year olds and had plenty of room. The apartment itself is nice, though it could use a fresh coat of paint, but the area around the apartment is the nicest appearing for the downtown area.
Location was the best part. We were able to walk to tons of different places like the Franklin Institute and Reading Terminal Market. There was a large pay for parking lot next door that we bought a 3 day pass for so we didnât have to worry about parking. That also allowed us to drive to and from other activities really easily.
We enjoyed the apartment and three bedrooms. Nicely decorated and the beds were very comfy. We would suggest a more comfortable couch but other than that we were happy with the accommodations and location.
Perfect for convention center and historical site seeing
The location was perfect for the convention center. The neighborhood is very much in the heart of a large, urban city.
This offered a lot of space and was very clean.
My only request would be soap for the dishes and maybe the laundry. We also ran out of toilet paper but that was quickly taken care of by the gentleman who manages the property.
This was a great property that is immediately adjacent to the convention center. It was very clean and well decorated. It had every amenity that we were looking for including a well stocked kitchen and excellent linens and towels.
Parking was not included with this unit but is available immediately adjacent to the property and for us it was thirty dollars per night. The parking lot was attended twenty four hours a day and we could look out from the windows of the apartment and see our car.
The location of the apartment is just fabulous. It is only blocks from Chinatown, Reading Terminal Market, and other fabulous shopping and dining opportunities.
The only challenge that we faced with this unit is that the entry vestibule is very small and the steps up to the unit are very steep. Clearly, this is not somethong the the owners can easily improve, but visitors with mobility concerns should be aware.
My wife and I stayed at this property and itâs location and proximity to downtown was perfect.
The property/unit itself was fine, with the only issue being that the back door/fire escape door could not/would not lock. This door was easily accessible to a shared staircase which doesnât allow for peace of mind while staying in an unfamiliar city and neighborhood.
Additionally, we requested a late checkout and they have a strict policy of not allowing them. This was frustrating as we had a flight later in the evening.
Because of those two points, I had to give this property 4/5.
We stayed here for two nights for a "girls weekend" celebrating a 40th bday. The space was pretty perfect for us, nice living room and dining room for hanging out, 3 real bedrooms with very comfortable beds and pillows, tastefully decorated, very clean. The kitchen is functional but basic - there's a fridge, stove, microwave and Keurig, not a ton of dishes or cooking stuff. There's only one bathroom which is probably the only downside to the apt, though really was not a problem at all. And it was easy to get in and out with the codes (once we figured out to pull the door handle up instead of down for the outside door). Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be in Center City of Philly. Given the reasonable price, we felt it was a really good value.
Best sleep of our multi-city trip. The beds are incredibly comfortable. It was also great having a washer/dryer for use. The street was very quiet and we enjoyed the dim sum restaurant just across the street. The kitchen was good for making coffee and storing quick breakfast foods. But it was under-equipped to prepare an actual meal.
We love the apartment, the interior design style, mattresses were comfortable and location excellent, walking distance to lots of cool stuff. We did have a glitch to start with, the floors as another reviewer mentioned, needed mopping. But the hostess quickly arranged for that to be done while we were out eating dinner, and their willingness To fix other amenities that were lacking was great. I would definitely recommend staying at this apartment, but I do wish that the owners would fix up a few things such as better kitchen tools and maybe hooks in bathroom to hang your towels on, that sort of stuff. But these issues should not deter anyone from renting this apartment. Thank you for having us, Will definitely come again!
Two co-workers and I stayed here for 5 nights. The location was ideal--close to where we were working, plenty of places nearby to eat, and an easy walk to popular historic sites and the Reading Terminal Market. The beds were comfy and we didn't hear as much outside noise as I would have expected, given the location. Overall the apartment was very clean, but the floors needed to be mopped. There is a homeless shelter around the corner from the apartment and a lot of people on the streets. I mention this because this may make some people wary, but I didn't feel unsafe. The three of us (all female) were comfortable being out together after dark, but I probably wouldn't have gone out alone at night. Check-in was easy and Simon responded quickly to messages. I would be happy to stay here again.
