Avoid This Property at All Costs â Health Hazard and Total Scam
. Upon arrival, we were met with disgusting, unsanitary, and potentially hazardous conditions. There were visible blood stains and other bodily fluids on the pillows, sheets, and mattress coversâyes, actual bodily fluids. The mattresses were stained, the bedding was revolting, and nothing had been cleaned or replaced in a long time.That alone should have been enough to walk away, but it got worse:âąFloors were filthyâsticky, dirty, and covered in grime.âąHoles in the walls, broken or missing doorknobs, and non-functioning lights.âąThis is a three-story walk-up with no lighting whatsoever in the stairwell, making it dangerously dark and unsafe at night.âąThe entire property looked like it hadnât been maintained or cleaned in months,if not longer.We stayed for less than one hour, just long enough to document everything with photos and video for our own safety and proof. We had no choice but to leave and find alternative accommodations, as staying in this unit was unthinkable and unsafe.To make matters worse, the host has refused to issue a refund for the unused days, despite being shown evidence of the unacceptable conditions. This is not just bad hostingâthis is fraud.Iâve submitted a formal complaint to VRBO, including all photo and video documentation, and I strongly urge anyone considering this listing to look elsewhere.
