Happy Valley Home

This is a beautiful property fully furnished in a really nice area with beautiful mountains and less than 5 minutes from Six Flags. Every bedroom has a TV in it with and there is garage space for at least two cars. The backyard is beautiful and has a nice canopy in it for shade. Great place for a family or group to lounge while away.

Details matter
Nice place.....and very lacking in the details. Coffee maker but no coffee. Dishwasher but no diswasher soap. Bath towels but no wash cloths. Nice patio but no furniture to sit out on it. We ran out of toilet paper after the first day and there was only one almost empty box of tissues. Very few dishes so much so that we had to use the same two pots to cook spaghetti, heat sauce, and serve a salad...! We own rentals too and know that with $100 at a thrift store you could equip it a little better to help guests feel less inconvenienced. Nice place tho...

Enjoyable
The owner of the property was super responsive to my tons of questions. This is the first time I’ve used VRBO in place of a hotel. I wasn’t sure what to expect but through the process my communication with the owner was amazing. The property was clean and kid friendly which I worry about with toddlers. Definitely lived up to our expectations

Generally Pleasant Experience
The stay was mostly as expected. There were a few trouble spots detailed below, but there were no serious problems. The beds were comfortable, the house and linens were clean and there was plenty of hot water. The property description says there was a spa/whirlpool. Not true. A few things were broken. The blinds on the patio door were missing one slat. Another blind had a slat broken, and the kitchen island countertop has a long crack. I recommend a careful walkthrough and photograph anything not perfect. The yard could use a junk hauler. Broken bicycles, bedframes, boxes and whatnot litter the side yards. The back yard has weeks of leaves. The idyllic description of back yard living was a little optimistic. Fortunately, that was not part of my planned activity. The house could use an instruction booklet. Things like “Trash pickup is Friday”, how to turn off the front lights, how to connect to the wi-fi, and how to operate the thermostats would have been useful. I never did master those issues, but I was able to make a wired connection to the router, and the early spring temperature was comfortable in the house with the heat pump turned off.

Perfect location
My family enjoyed the stay in this home. It was spacious and comfortable. It was in a quiet neighborhood and well maintained. However, they were unable to find any instructions for the check-out requirements and the internet access.

A Tale of Highs and Lows: Navigating a rental Rollercoaster part one
Embarking on a home rental adventure, we anticipated a delightful stay, drawn in by promises of a professional host, a superb location, and a structurally beautiful home with hardwood floors and modern fixtures. Little did we know, our journey would become a narrative of both highs and lows, turning into one of the most challenging home rental experiences one could imagine. Let's start with the positive aspects. The host, as promised, exuded professionalism and a pleasant demeanor, ensuring our initial interaction was warm and welcoming. The location of the property was, indeed, superb – offering the convenience and enjoyment we had hoped for. The architectural beauty of the home, accentuated by charming hardwood floors and modern fixtures, initially set the stage for what we thought would be a memorable stay. However, the promising beginning took an unexpected turn within the first hour of our arrival. A knock on the door introduced us to a neighboring concern: a request from the next-door neighbor for us, the home rental guests, to take out what appeared to be a mountain of neglected trash. This early encounter with a neighboring issue foreshadowed the challenges we would face throughout our stay. Further exploration revealed that the unique home decor, touted as eclectic, was exclusively composed of thrift shop purchases. While this brought a certain charm, it also brought with it a distinctive aroma that reflected lack of cleaning thoroughly
