The hotel has a corner at recep level which is always not litted up for some reason. It makes the hotel atmosphere not favourable. Firework programme didnt carried out throughout our 4 night stay and there is no proper notice.

Great hotel, the rooms were big and clean, the view of the ocean was lovely, the sunset was amazing down at the bar as was the live music every night from 5.30-7.30pm. There are plenty of options for food up on the Main Street. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing hotel

We had paid for the whole trip duration of our stay upfront through hotels.com which have the details of my credit card. But when we checked in the hotel wanted to keep our passports - we refused this and explained that I have already paid and have my credit card details. Because of this when we were at the bar to order drinks or food - we couldnโ€™t add the bill to our room for me to pay at check out. I argued my point with this and they said this is because I havenโ€™t left my passport. absolute idiots! Also the standard of the hotel is not as high up as stated on the site - there were loads of areas that were broken or outdated - broken flooring of the wood decking in pool area, missing pieces of tiles in swimming pool. The evening entertainment on the beach front bar was the same each night and on the night we wanted to attend we were told to move ourselves from the beach sofas because they had been reserved - but no one told us that we had to reserve it despite us spending money on drinks and food there - WHICH we couldnโ€™t put on our room bill. Crap service!

I thought the place was nice and convenient to the beach. It is in close proximity to nearby restaurants and eateries. There wasn't any laundry facility in the hotel so we had to carry our clothes to one nearby store. The one incident that was really frustrating is the fact that the bar didn't let us sit to watch their fire/music show. The restaurant in the hotel told us we can order and eat in the bar to watch the show, the two initial host/hostess said we can sit there. When my food was ready, another hostess said we can sit in that outdoor bar area unless we order drinks, So, she kicked us out. How embarassing and ridiculous. This is not one of the cheap hotels in the area, and this bar is part of the hotel. Needless to say, we won't be back to this. Service of bar is poor. Everyone else gave service as expected.

Great location. Friendly staff. Elevator to the room is 30 steps from the ocean. Clean rooms. Breakfast buffet is way too over crowded. Food has no protection (plastic layer I seen in other buffets) I saw lots of people sneezing near the food station. Dangerous and unhealthy. The beach beds are there but for some reason the mattresses are not placed on top of them. It is very uncomfortable to rest on the wooden beds without the matresses.

Great hotel, nice views, loud music at times.

Spent three nights here in the Grand Panorama Room. The room was amazing with a big patio to hang out on with a great view of the ocean and beach. The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a big variety. The only really downside was the loud music playing at the bar until 12-1 o clock in the am. Canโ€™t really sit outside or in your room for that matter without hearing the loud music. Luckily we brought ear plugs so we were able to fall asleep while the music was going. I think some noise mitigation at the bar would go along ways as it seems to be more of a family, couples resort.

Hotel still very new as works are still not ongoing. Excellent location. Near the airport. 5 mins walk to get to main street and every thing is there. The hotel had a pub and near the beach.

Wonderful Staff

Stayed here for 5 nights, a beautiful location right on the beach and whilst the hotel is new and not fully completed yet did not deter from my enjoyment. Breakfast was good and had a varied selection and the pool, just a few metres from the sea was a delight to relax by. The sunsets from the beach bar were amazing and the music provided by the mixer experts from 5.00pm suited the mood perfectly and awe inspiring as the sun went down. Motorcycle hire provided at the hotel was quick, easy and reasonably priced. But by far the hotels biggest asset was its staff and I can say without exception that everyone was so very helpful, friendly and keen to please. The only negative comment I can make is that the WiFi connectivity on occasion and other communications was not stable and frustrating if you were in the middle of a video call, the staff were of course very apologetic and assured me that these were teething problems and would be rectified as the hotel was still in its infancy. Keep up the good work Sunset Beach.

Nice hotel to recommand

Nice beach and swimming pool. Good to have a great view from room. Gym room is good as well. 2-3 dishes are changed in breakfast daily which is nice especially we stay there for 3 nights.
