An entrance hall on the ground floor leads into the cosy and welcoming living room, which in turn opens through to a dining area with sliding patio doors on to the garden. The dining room is bathed in light and invites you to enjoy the sunshine with the option of al fresco dining in the warmer months. There is a separate well-equipped kitchen adjoining the dining room, where you can delight friends and family with hearty home cooked meals, using fresh local ingredients. Also on the ground floor is a separate toilet. On the first floor are three bedrooms; a double, a large twin and a room with a small double bed, all with good storage space. You also have a great sized family bathroom.
The property faces east and has a sunny and sheltered rear garden which looks out onto farmland beyond. This property also benefits from a lockable shed and off road parking on a private driveway.
Pickering is a wonderful base for exploring the North York Moors and the nearby coastline. It is a pretty market town, with the popular market taking place every Monday. A steam train winds its way from Pickering over the rolling heather, through valleys and over hills to many picturesque villages all the way to Whitby on the coast and is ideal for a special day out; in December it becomes a themed Christmas Santa Special. One of the highlights on the calendar in Pickering is the annual War Weekend, where battle re-enactments take place and live music can be enjoyed, the whole town seems to slip back in time.
The surrounding North York Moors is a haven for walkers with many trails to explore and an abundance of wildlife. Dalby Forest has a choice of trails for cyclists as well as walkers, whilst thrill seekers have the Go Ape zip lines through the treetops. Nearby is Malton, the food capital of Yorkshire, recently described as a âfoodieâs heavenâ, with a market, award-winning restaurants and a cookery school. Castle Howard is one of Britainâs finest stately homes, sure to fill you with awe. There are also the beaches at Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington nearby to explore, the nearest only 18 miles from Pickering. And Flamingo Land theme park and zoo is a real treat for children, just a 10-minute drive away. Beach 18 miles.

There is a private driveway better suited to a small/medium car. The next door's driveway is at a lower level so if preferred there is ample on street parking outside the house, which is situated at the end of a quiet cut-de-sac
The property was ideal for our needs. The location was great - just a short walk into town and so handy for so many places to visit. We love the coast so was great to be nearer. Had some good meals out - can recommend Spice 4 You, but also like to cook in so it was so nice to be in in a house so well provided for with cooking pots and pans etc. Would recommend strongly.
Everything of the accommodation was excellent and all my family enjoyed the whole week staying there. Only thing that was missing was a fan because of the heat so had to go out and buy one.
Would stay there again.
