Gorgeous Lake view home with private Game Room

This home is one of a kind! Extremely large chalet that will hold the whole family. This cabin is perfect for large groups of families and friends. Enjoy all the amenities on site such as putt putt, volleyball, fishing in 12 acre Lake Innsbruck, john boating, basketball, shuffleboard, corn hole, playground, recreational center and more! Home is within a few minutes to beautiful downtown Pine Mountain, Callaway Gardens, Wild Animal Safari, and FDR State Park just to name a few.
Gussie's Lodge: This Gorgeous Lakefront home features 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Chalet has a private dining area, living room with fireplace, a media room, a private rec center down stairs with a pool table and ping pong table, 2 fireplaces, a washer/dryer, and even a full deck with a charcoal grill. Bedding consist of 2 twins, 2 Fulls, 4 queens and 3 king beds. You will have two of each kitchen appliances including refrigerator, dishwasher and stove. Home will sleep up to 20 guest and is not pet friendly. PMCC cannot accommodate local reservations. Not Pet Friendly.

Roach Motel

Let me start by saying we ended up leaving after the first night. We got there and didn’t have entry info, couldn’t get in touch with anyone, and the sister(?) from next door ended up coming over to help us. Upon entry the floor was tore up and there was roach poop in all of the appliances and cabinets. We found one bed with rat poop and pee under the blanket. It says private but it’s not. I reached out to ask about a refund as we didn’t stay and have heard nothing back. Over 1500 bucks we will never get back. Disgusting. I have pictures if needed.

Needs some TLC

The area was nice. The house does needs some up keep. As the other renter stated there was mold in a couple of rooms. The house is nice sized for large family or groups. The pool is very nice. Staff was very friendly. The towns people were nice also. A good place to eat is tidbits and the wild safari was fun. Thank you!!!!

Family Vacation

The rental process and staff were friendly and helpful. The property left a lot to be desired. Mold was pervasive and it was obvious the property needed a lot of work. We spent the first hour cleaning the bathrooms of mold. The smell didn’t diminish much even after we sprayed a lot of freshener. The filter for the AC was long overdue and if a cleaning crew had been in it had been a while. Despite this we made do and made the best of it. Fortunately there are a lot of amenities that come with the rental such as the boat, putt-putt golf, and fishing. With some work and cleaning this would be a great property.

A huge disappointment

We have used VRBO for over 18 years for family vacations and have always had excellent experiences with both the place and the owners. This is the first time we have had a place we needed to provide a review to warn others of our experience. If I had looked at the reviews we found after the fact we would not have rented here. I learned a valuable lesson. Our check in process and communications with managment were good. We had a plumbing issue during our stay and a flea infestation that had to be sprayed right before our check in that delayed it by an hour but management handled it well and we were not concerned. Once we got inside we noticed several things that were concerning, but we chose to live with it rather than try to find other arrangements for our family that had come from all over the country. Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the place. It was evident that a very superficial cleaning had been done, but it was evident that a deep cleaning had not been done in a long time. Floors were dirty, carpets stained, front entryway smelled bad and had a filthy welcoming carpet that needed attention, the basement floor was so grimy that we had to sweep and vacumn it and it barely made a difference, the windows were dirty, the blinds were dusty, the bathroom floors and shower curtains were absolutely filthy, baseboards had not been cleaned in a very long time. There was mold in the dining room that someone had tried to paint over but one area had been forgotten so you could see what had been covered up. The fleas were not gone so we did have bites to contend with. The kitchen was set up well with appliances but the cook wear was absolutely inferior and impacted what we could cook. Several places on the outdoor deck were in need of repair and we chose not to use that space because of a grandfather who had a walker and 2 young children. Our family had a great time being together, but this was the worst place we have ever had and the most expensive. We have been all over the country in our years together and never had an experience like this. I would never come back and never recommend this place.

The home was very large,

The floors were dirty. So much that if you walked barefoot, your feet were black on bottom. We had problems with two toilets. One they fixed, other not fixed. The people in the office were wonderful.

4th of July Family Trip

Quiet serene cabin “neighborhood.” Really relaxing. View of lake from back living room and back porch. Interior was clean. Exterior porch area has lots of spider webs, but we were in the woods! We had 14 people and still had room to spare for more. Thinking of returning yearly! Overall great!!
