Urban Retreat with Garage on Mt. Washington

Centrally located on Mount Washington with easy access to all of Pittsburgh. Walk to restaurants & bars on Shiloh Street, a grocery store, and the Grandview Overlooks. Just steps from the Incline which connects to a trolley to downtown, the North Shore, stadiums, and casino. A perfect home base for exploring the city and seeing some of Pittsburgh's most popular attractions.

Inside the Home
Enter the front door, and walk into an open floor plan featuring a cozy living area with two large couches and a 65" wall-mounted TV. Soaring 9’ ceilings make the space feel even bigger. Dine at a table for four, set beneath an arc lamp and next to a window overlooking the side yard. The fully stocked modern kitchen includes everything you need to cook, plus a drip coffee maker with complimentary grounds.

Step out onto the back deck with two zero-gravity chairs, which are perfect for relaxing. Upstairs, you’ll find a spacious full bathroom with double sinks. You can access the bathroom from the main hallway or directly from the large king bedroom, which includes two long closets, a ceiling fan, and a luxurious bed.

The third floor has a bright, airy bedroom with two twin beds, skylight, ceiling fan, and a walk-in closet. The garage-level basement includes a new washer and dryer and offers another way to enter the home through the garage.

We provide a Pack 'n Play-style crib, but no other baby gear (e.g., high chairs, gates). A dog gate is included, but it’s not designed for toddlers or staircase safety.

Guest Access
Enjoy three off-street parking spots: two in the driveway and one in the garage. The home is located in Mount Washington, a walkable and safe neighborhood with restaurants, bars, a bakery, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and grocery store just steps away.

You're a 5-minute walk to the Grandview Overlooks and the Monongahela Incline, which connects to the trolley for easy rides into downtown and beyond. By car, it’s just 8–10 minutes to downtown Pittsburgh and the North Shore, home to Acrisure Stadium, PNC Park, the casino, and Carnegie Science Center.

You can check yourself in using the front door or garage keypad. I’ll send your access code a couple of days before your arrival.

Great location with easy access to Carson Street. Surrounding neighborhood had great dining options and the area was quiet. Amazing views just a couple of blocks away. Transaction with host was super smooth and I will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The setting could not have been more convenient. Excellent restaurants and views within walking distance! The host was very professional and communicative. Everything was as described. I loved the off street parking. We had two cars so one in the garage and plenty of room for the second one outside in our own driveway. The property was in a good location for us. We like to walk when we visit cities and this place was conveniently located between both funiculars which we used to get down to the city. The back porch was nice to sit on in the morning for coffee and the evening for cocktails. We were even visited by a couple of deer that took a rest in the wooded area next to the house. We really enjoyed our stay and thought Pittsburgh was a great city to visit.

We had a wonderful experience at this property. The rooms were clean, it was very spacious and gave us room to spread out. A huge plus was having a garage to park in the crowded area of Pittsburgh that we were in. It’s also very closely located to some great restaurants and other activities.

Perfect location in Mt Washington

Rented this place for a weekend event at Duquesne University for its location and space for both of our kids. The place was spotless, comfortable, and had plenty of room for us to spread out. Location is easy walking distance to anything you could need, and the views of the city from the grandview overlook is amazing. We would not hesitate to rent here again.

Visiting MLB stadiums

The house was clean and well stocked. Guests should be aware that they will need to climb multiple sets of stairs, in case that’s a problem. Lots of things to do and see within driving distance or a short walk. We had a great time and would recommend this property if you’re visiting the Pittsburgh area!

We met our oldest and our daughter in law to take in a Mets vs Pirates game. This property was a great location for our weekend trip! Lots of fun bars/restaurants within walking distance. Easy walk to scenic overlook and the Monongahela incline making it easier to get into downtown Pittsburgh. The place was clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room. Streets are steep and narrow but once parked we left our cars and walked everywhere. Easy communication with host. Great spot!

Everything you need

This property is very nice. The small streets are a bit challenging, but you adapt quickly. It’s a close walk to many restaurants and a grocery store, so driving really isn’t necessary for the basics. We will rent this property again.

Clean comfortable and close to all areas

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights in May 2025 in order to celebrate his 50th birthday and do several activities in downtown Pittsburgh. This house was clean, comfortable, and has groceries, pharmacy, restaurants and gas nearby within walking distance. All the other things we did were within 10-15 minutes drive so it was very easy and convenient. We liked having a garage to secure our vehicle and the house itself was very nice. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to come visit Pittsburgh.
