Serviceable ar best, location is the propertyâs best attribute. Not supplied well with towels and linens and the furniture is wobbly. Stay only if you donât have other options.
It started with the check in issue. When I received the welcome email, it never said to do all 3 steps BEFORE getting to the property. As we stood in the freezing cold trying to get into the building, I had to call CozySuites to get access AFTER I paid the deposit (which is usually collected at my arrival). After we finally got into the building, we realized that this was NOT a hotel, there was no staff and there were no amenities (that we knew of). The building was filthy, and there was absolutely NO signage telling anyone where to go. Did you know the building was under construction? I will NEVER stay at this place again.
Only stay at this place is your alternative is the sidewalk. We had 3 guests registered, there was only linens, pillows and towels for 2 guests. We asked for these to be provided once we noticed right after checkin at 5pm and they didn't arrive until after 11:15pm after many emails. Additionally, there were rodents in the unit. No alternative option to correct this issue happened during our stay. When asked for a refund, they offered a laughable $30 and totally dismissed our concerns. The pullout couch is very small and the unit could not accomodate 4 adults for sleeping. The unit is very barebones and not well maintained. There were no extra amenities. The furniture was practically cardboard. We also checked out on time and received a message that we had not checked out on time even though we were blocks away. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE!
Where do I even begin...that one star is feeling really generous.
I called them the day before our arrival to confirm that THREE adults would be staying in the room. The very nice woman on the phone assured me that yes, they were aware there would be three adults. (Love a place that inspires confidence). Fast forward to our midnight arrival (of which they were also informed), and surprise! The pullout couch-clearly intended for that third adult-came with no sheets, blankets or pillow. Apparently, the place prefers the "sleep directly on upholstery" aesthetic. Very minimalist and bold.
But wait, it gets soooo much better!
When my husband went to use the bathroom (as one like to do when they arrive to their destination) he discovered there was NO TOILET PAPER. Not low. None at all, not one sad square. Completely nonexistent. A daring choice really. Especially at midnight, when all we wanted was sleep-not to go to a local 7-11 to purchase some.
So yes, calling this "inconvenient" is a major understatement. It was more like an immersive survival experience. Preparation for guests? Apparently just a vibe.
If you're looking of an accommodation that keeps you on your toes, challenges your expectations and makes you questions why you bothered conforming anything at all-this is absolutely the place for you!
It was awful. We were unable to check into our initial room we booked due to "the key pad was offline", we got transferred to another room that had a non-working A/C unit so the room was miserably hot, the broken A/C unit was leaking water everywhere, the washer and dryer were randomly in the middle of the hallway, we had no towels or anything for us in the room, and the shower didn't even have a handle on it to turn it on. Support tried to transfer us to another unit a couple blocks away at midnight but there was no point and we felt unsafe just walking around downtown in the middle of the night with everything going on there. For staying only one night here I spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer support. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
