Bed Sheet had holes in it Tub\shower had slippery floor surface. Only one small trashcan available. One towel rack, it was damaged Sliding closet door was unhinged.

We arrived late at night and checked into our room after several minutes of waiting around at the empty front desk. Our room, on the first floor and near the elevator, had a missing smoke/CM detector, a broken door handle, and while the lamp and bathroom lights worked the overhead light did not. Also broken was the safety lock on our door (not the normal lock but the metal catch). Overall I was not impressed.

Breakfast was great! Them eggs and sausages was fire! I was not expecting to like it so much. The room had a kind of musty smell which was a bit disappointing. The bed was very comfortable. It was ok for 1 night as a quick pit stop but I wouldn't stay much longer.

Not so great

Staff was friendly. It was old and dated everywhere. Lots of walls and materials that can't be cleaned so old splatter from other people in rooms and in bathroom. Dining area was the same. Bathroom had no vent fan. Drain stoppers had built up mold and mildew on them. Corners of room and bathroom had built up crud and dirt. The top cover for the beds was the fabric of a shower curtain. Refrigerator had no freezer for ice packs. You can tell that the hotel needs some money put into it and they have not done so.

A bit of noise coming from next room so perhaps better sound insulation might fix this? A bit more hazelnut cream would help too as they ran out of my favourite condiment for my coffee quite often.

Good stay in Pittsburgh for the price. Clean, updated room, decent breakfast. I think the HVAC needs updating. Room smelled of second hand smoke, but I think it may have been in the air-conditioning system.
