Berkshire Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations. It is quiet and pretty. I loved the shades of gold and dark red color scheme. Everything was basically new and very clean. The spacious kitchen and living room buffer the bedroom from any noise in the hallway. The bed was very comfortable for our aging backs. The kitchen is very well-stocked with anything you might want for either plating take-out meals or cooking yourself. My only complaint was that our handicap-accessible bathroom, which I was assured on the phone had a roll-in shower, had a tub/shower combo, which is not fully accessible. Manager Andrew was very apologetic but they no more appropriate room that night, He did call the next morning with an offer to move us, but by that time we were settled in and decided to make do.
Berkshire Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations. Furnishings looked to be almost new. I liked the decor scheme: warm shades of gold with dark red. The bed was very comfortable for our aging backs. Even though our unit was near the elevator, the spacious kitchen and living area buffered the bedroom from any noise in the hallway. The kitchen was very well furnished whether you want to plate take-out or cook yourself. They provide print-outs of restaurant listings, plus Guido's fantastic deli and store is right around the corner. The only complaint I had was that for a handicap-accessible room, while I was assured on the phone that it would have a roll-in shower, it had a tub/shower unit, which is not fully accessible. Manager Andrew was very apologetic that no other appropriate unit was available that night, but did call the next morning with an offer to move us. By that time we were settled in and decided to make do where we were.
I was surprised by the undisclosed(until we arrived) $150 security deposit. There were also a number of additional threats of charges we had to initial to sign in. Stayed an extra day and had to wait 15 minutes to repeat the process of signing in. Required proof of payment. (I couldnât book the room without paying on Expedia in advance) Tv didnât work. Waited 25 minutes and called again before someone was sent to replace it. Nice guy.
We were there for Divine Mercy Sunday weekend. We were pleasantly surprised that the room was a one bedroom suite and had a dining table that sat four comfortably and a full service kitchen with oven and dishwasher. Many little extras and the tv remotes came individually sanitized wrapped. Also great value for the room we had. Bathroom also was quite large.
Pubic hair on sofa bed - they refused to send help
Beware families or anyone with 4 people. We booked one night and knew our kids would need to sleep on the pull out sofa bed. No problem, weâve done that before. The problem was when I went to pull out the bed it was filthy.
The bed was covered in crumbs, popcorn and hair⊠yes, including what looked like a pubic hair. I contacted the front desk and they said sorry and I could come downstairs (actually across the enormous resort) and grab some new sheets. Couldnât someone come up and just fix it I asked?
âNo, there isnât anyone from housekeeping on staff right now. And honestly, they wouldnât come up unless we were staying the full week.â The bare minimum you expect of a place is a clean bed and they couldnât even provide that.
Also, I think think someone pooped in the pool earlier. I was told the pool was going to be closed âone hourâ due to an âincident.â Of course hours later and I think the next morning was still closed leaving my kids crushed and me sleeping on the pubes sofa bed
I have stayed here before and will again! Convenient, staff was hospitable, clean.
Luggage carts were readily availablethis time.
Reasonable rates!
Love that there is a full size kitchen and laundry room available.
The occupants directly above us was so loud, noisy, kids running, we were not able to sleep until 1am. The room has a peculiar smell, which was not pleasant, maybe the rugs should be replaced. The staff were very helpful though
Decor was outdated. The pullout couch was very noisy and uncomfortable when using it as a couch, almost like it was made of plastic. The price was pretty decent, though, for a suite with a kitchenette that had all the dishes, pots and pans, and appliances. Didn't get a chance to try out the pool or hot tub, but they looked nice.
Property was very well kept up and clean. I also enjoyed the amenities and being able to cook in the room. The best was having the ability to charge my electric car while at the resort
