We booked a family suite as it was 2 adults and one child as Expedia says 16 years old is still a child. When we came to book in the female told us she was not a child and it’s only a room for 2 people. I don’t know if it is a screw up with Expedia or them but it was not as I was trying to make them lose money, I paid for the extra person and pictures on the site showed 2 beds.She was very rude to us kept telling me no. Eventually she rolled her eyes and just handed me the keys. One of us had to sleep on the floor. The male at reception was very nice though. Always greeted us and lots of smiles. The room was great, hot water lots of water pressure and very clean. Great view of 5th ave and only noisy till about 11:45 from nearby bars. I would only book this as 2 people per room to avoid the bad experience checking in because this was actually a lovely place to stay.

My fault I did not check for an elevator and my and i are 69 and 70 years old and could not do the steps. We stayed one night and moved to another hotel. Room was clean, but small.

I travel to playa del Carmen every year and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. This property needs BIG remodeling, nothing is being maintained in good condition. Don’t believe any of the pictures the property posts. The room and stairs are in horrible conditions the bathroom has a terrible smell of sewer.

Perfect location! Easily accessible and trustworthy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only cold water in the shower, but that's perfect for the hot weather. I would come back here :)

It was a decent place for that price. Literally close to everything I loved everything about stay. Shower head was amazing. Bathroom sink needs fixing but overall I will deff book again. Excellent location for those who don’t drive access to everything tours, beaches FOOD. Amazing.

Panoramic? Down 5th Avenue maybe... but NO seaview

Panoramic Studio, it was supposed to be, with a partial seaview, but there was no seaview to speak of, unless you count seeing what you suspect is the sea between some leaves of trees in the distance? I'm also not sure why they were called Studios, as there was just a fridge freezer, a bed and a wardrobe/cupboard, but even the bedside tables were ripped out ... so nothing to sit on like a chair or sofa, even on the balcony ...

Way over priced for condition of room

Old run down. Bed was horrible. Was supposed to be a panoramic view. Only one glass door to street. Loud music every night until 1:30 am. Rooms are directly over bars with loud music. Did have AC and hot water.

What was advertised in the pictures is not what we got. We got a dirty, dingy, smelly. Tiny room. Beds super hard, towels super dingy and old. We had to convince the attendant to give us new ones. The walls were super dirty, tiles in the bathroom falling off. Faucets and sink had left over toothpaste and soap from the previous renter. We do own we were not aware of it being situated in the middle of 5th ave—smack in the middle of the busy strip. We were totally taken advantage of at 150 per night, boy was it a pig sty. For 160 per night we rented a room at the Hyatt in Merida for our next part of our trip. Terrible place Mayab hotel. Disgusting.
