Situated in the award winning Cypress Lakes Golf Resort, our Villas offer comfort, style and ease. Conveniently located in the heart of the Hunter Valley countryside, expect to be in awe from the amazing views within and around the resort grounds and beyond to the local farms and mountain ranges surrounding the valley. 

Try your hand at golfing through the Pro Shop, explore multiple vineyards in the immediate area or just relax on your private balcony with a sampling from the local wineries. Take a day trip to the east of Lovedale to explore the Werakata National Park, meander south-west to Wollombi or enjoys the prize of nature in the Aberdare State Forest. Take a breath and soak in that OMG! moment.

Overlooking the championship golf resort complex, our self-contained luxury retreat apartments offer 3 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms plus downstairs toilet/powder room. Offering sunny & spacious living areas, air-conditioning plus a large sunny entertaining balcony and relaxing views over the golf course.

Visit the Pokolbin wineries and superb restaurants, stroll to the nearby Health Retreat & Spa, or be challenged by the fantastic choice of local golf courses, including this famous one and the new Greg Norman designed, The Vintage.

This villa is privately owned and managed. Securing a reservation through Weekenda at Cypress Lakes affords unlimited access to the public bar & restaurant and the Owners Hillside Pool only. It does not at any time afford access to the resort run pool or gym. Rounds of golf and tennis court hire can be arranged directly through the Pro Shop.

How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details: Access to the property is made simple. You’ll receive an access code via SMS just before 3pm on your arrival day, which you’ll use for the duration of your stay.Standard check-in is at 3pm. While an earlier arrival may be possible, it cannot be confirmed until the afternoon prior to your arrival. If an earlier check-in is available, we will send you an SMS by 4pm the day before to confirm.

Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO

Guest Amenities: We are Eco-Friendly - to help reduce wastage, we supply a single bottle of 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in all showers. In addition, guests are advised to bring their own personal preferred bathroom products/amenities and free Wifi.

Wifi is provided complimentary on behalf of the owner. It is intended to be used in an appropriate manner by all guests. As the service is provided by an external 3rd party, Weekenda cannot and do not guarantee the speed or efficacy of this property's wifi connection nor do we pay any compensation for interruption of service for any reason.

Pools: Weekenda guests have unrestricted access to the Owners/Hillside Pool located on the corner of Chardonnay Terrace & Vintage Avenue. Weekenda Private Villas are not afforded access to Oaks Managed Resort facilities which include the resort/lagoon pool, tennis courts and gym. The Owners/Hillside pool is open for swimming from the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There are no external security cameras at this private Villa but please note Cypress Lakes is a complex with commercial offerings of a golf club, restaurant and bar. As such, external cameras are present in these communal areas managed by Oaks and not associated with the host. For the future, the private Villa owner reserves the right at any time to install external cameras at their discretion. Any camera install will be in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Guest Registration / ID Check : Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guests names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. We trust we have our honest and genuine customers understanding this policy is in place to protect all parties.

Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'

Beautiful hunter valley stay for family

The property was immaculate, very family friendly. We originally booked directly with the Cypress Lakes resort and had issues with our room so we were able to book this property last minute and the team were very accommodating and understanding, saving our family escape and ended up in a much nicer apartment. The kids had a wonderful time!

Daughters wedding

This was the perfect accommodation for us to stay at when our daughter got married in the Hunter Valley 3 weeks ago, the men loved playing golf the day before and the morning of the wedding while us ladies were busy with setting up the venue etc, everywhere was in close vicinity to our accommodation 👌

Family Weekend in the Vineyards

Very spacious with plenty of room to entertain. Extremely well fitted out with everything you need to cook at the property. Everything was within a 5-10 minute drive from where we were staying which made it very easy to get around. The guys that played golf said the golf course was one of their favorites. Courtesy bus to go to the restaurants on site was a plus as it made it easy for one of the nights we ate out. We would definitely return thank you.

Cypress lakes - PENIVITY -

Booked online and chose the executive suite at fiano/ 3 bedroom villa - 24 hours later recieved an email from weekenda who then allocated us to another villa called the boreduex. ?? We run a small business with 2 toddlers under the age of (3) . Wanted something nice for my wife’s birthday weekend and called weekenda to sort out why we had been. Allocated to another sub/par Looking villa ? BUYER BEWARE ! The villa you book is a generic listing and weekenda will allocate a thing they want to you . We got moved to the penivity / looks over greens 6/7 . Thought okay ! On arrival we were met at the door with a dead plant .! Opened the door to a villa painted vomit hyper yellow . The deck was in useable with nails and screws sticking out to rip your feet open on . Carpet had holes in it and filthy . Air con units yellow and dirty filters - hand controls battery’s dead . Bedroom stunk of rotten wood after finding cupboard with water damage from dripping air con unit . Bath leaks like a siv , silicone job disgusting - toilets don’t flush and shower full of black mould . The gold coarse green view is over grown trees and bush , and a rubble of rocks a bulldozer has pushed into a pile . No washing machine as listed . Floor mats inside house and deck looked like been chewed on by dog and full of wet rot . Extremely disappointed and let down by decieving booking Allocation . Will be avoiding at all cost next time and booking elsewhere .

Ok, but needs some love

The location was great and the convenience was superb. The accomodation itself needs some love. It hasn’t been updated in quite some time. The fridge was missing shelves and the pans were old and rusty. There was a faint smell of vomit in the property so no doubt it’s been used in the past by big groups of people. It could be an amazing place but needs some attention to make it more welcoming.

In the treetops

The weather gods were smiling this Easter as we settled into the villa at cypress lakes. The villa was spacious and light streamed in from the large balcony. We were impressed with the TVs in each bedroom although we didn’t really get much of a chance to use them. Bed were comfy and the kitchen very adequate for a good fry up brekkie. We loved the wooden dining table and the sofa bed was great - very comfortable ( unlike some others)! Lots of birdlime around and we even managed to use the outdoor pool after much searching - the last dip of summer. We spent time at nearby vineyards as the resort is very central and also sampled the bistro - good food and friendly service. Although we aren’t golfers, we spent a few hours on the putting green and driving range. We had a fabulous time and were sad to leave will definitely consider coming back😊

It was almost what we were told to expect.

The villa and location were awesome. As the listing said it's very central to all the major attractions in Pokolbin. Cessnock is just 10 min down the road. We enjoyed our stay and the people at Cypress Lakes Resort were very accommodating and nice. If I have to pick an issue out. The listing said the property had a washing machine and dryer. When we got to the villa we found out that there was no washing machine, but there was a dryer. We packed very little clothes since we planned to wash clothes during our stay. As it turns out no washing machine. I read the online house manual and true enough it said that the villa had no washing machine. I was only provided with the house manual after I had paid the full booking fee. I told the property manager about it on the second morning and I was told that they will have to ask the owner about it........ Apart from that we had a nice relaxing time. We plan to return and book again with the host, hopefully the next villa we will book will have complete listed amenities.

Beautiful house with perfect location!

The house has everything that you need to spend a nice time with your family and friends. It's located at the end of the resort so it's really quiet. Even though you cannot use the resort's swimming pool, we drove 10 minutes to Cessnock public pool and had a good time.
