Endroit idĂ©alement placĂ© pour dĂ©couvrir la beautĂ© du Toscana. Pas une maison entiĂšre mais une appartement ou les propriĂ©taires habitent sur le rez-de-chaussĂ©e. Suzy, trĂšs gentille et rĂ©active a donnĂ© des bonnes conseils ou aller et a restĂ© toujours Ă  notre Ă©coute. Avec un peu de modernisation l’endroit deviendrait top! Merci pour tous!

De plus, les propriĂ©taires, "charmants" sont sur place, au rez de chaussĂ©e et sont ainsi pleinement disponibles pour rĂ©pondre Ă  toutes nos attentes et demandes... Great place, enjoyable stay!

We stayed here with another couple and enjoyed our stay. Lorenzo greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around the house and grounds. He was nice enough to bring us a basket of delightful vegetables from their garden, and we used them all over the week we were there. The road coming up to the property was very bumpy and somewhat challenging, and we had to come up a certain way because the road was closed coming up from the other direction. Once there, however, the view of the Tuscan hills was just beautiful. The house was well-equipped and comfortable but it could definitely use some new furniture as the furniture was a bit shabby. The other property on the grounds was completely updated with new furniture and was beautiful. Overall we enjoyed the place and would recommend it.

Great country like Tuscany farm house with fantastic views

This property fulfilled our dreams of country living in Tuscany. The house was perfect for our 7 night stay. Even when the weather turned cool and rainy, being in the large kitchen with the wood burning fireplace warmed our souls. The hosts were caring and very helpful. The whole experience from their home cooked pizzas and garden fresh vegetables (from their garden), grilling our Florentine steaks, just typing this makes us want to go again.

We had a great stay in september in this spacious home. The hosts were very welcoming (we even got free delicious home-cooked desserts) and advised us on things to do in the area. The kitchen is very well equiped which is great if you like to cook. The swimming pool is a bit small, but refreshing (they told us they are planning a bigger one). Also if you like privacy than maybe this isn't the place for you: there is enough space to sit outside but it's partly shared terrain (with host family and one other appartment). Apart from these small drawbacks, it's a great location: it's quiet but just a 10-minute drive to Rufina train station which takes you to Florence in half an hour. We had a lovely stay.

Großes Ferienhaus mit tollem Blick

Wir waren fĂŒr 1 Woche GĂ€ste in dem herrlich gelegenen Ferienhaus und haben uns rundum wohl gefĂŒhlt. Suzy und Ihre Familie haben uns mit einem Glas Wein herzlich empfangen und waren jederzeit freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten bereits im Voraus das angebotene Dinner gebucht und können es nur weiter empfehlen. In dem Ferienhaus ist alles Notwendige vorhanden und die großen Zimmer schön möbliert. Vor allem der amerikanische Mega KĂŒhlschrank war optimal, um bei den warmen Temperaturen ausreichend GetrĂ€nke kĂŒhl zu lagern. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und die nĂ€here Umgebung (Florenz, Lucca und Siena) erkundet. Aber auch einfach nur faul auf der Terrasse liegen war sehr entspannend. Wir haben das Ferienhaus kurzfristig gebucht, da unsere ursprĂŒngliche Reiseplanung durch Corona geplatzt ist. Im Nachhinein aber völlig ok und etwas Besseres wie der Aufenthalt in der Toskana hĂ€tte uns nicht passieren können. Vielen Dank noch einmal an Suzy und Ihre Familie. Bleibt alles Gesund, vielleicht kommen wir auch noch einmal wieder. La dolce Vita hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Wonderful hospitality

Suzy and Salvatore were wonderful hosts and made us feel very much at home in the villa. Suzy was always on hand with advice and recommendations about interesting places to visit and nice places to eat. We took advantage of the option to have Salvatore cook for us one night and enjoyed a convivial evening and delicious food. Our four-year-old loved spending time in the pool and meeting the resident dog, cat, donkeys, and chickens. Like anywhere in rural Tuscany in August, we were bothered by horseflies and mosquitoes, but that is par for the course and the lovely setting of the villa more than compensated for the occasional punture di tafani.

Wunderbarer Blick, wunderbare Gastgeberin

Ein seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten um- und ausgebauter Hof in Bergen der Toskana, eine großartige und zugleich entspannte Gastgeberin mit ihrer mindestens ebenso netten Familie, eine sehr große Wohnung mit zwei BĂ€dern, einer großen WohnkĂŒche und drei Schlafzimmern voller schöner antiker Möbel, ein fantastischer Blick, ein (noch, Ă€ndert sich ab 2021) etwas kleiner Pool und nicht zuletzt Kira, die freundlichste SchĂ€ferhĂŒndin in ganz Italien -- als das findet sich in Suzys Casa Badalamenti. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. De gastvrijheid van Suzy en haar familie is erg groot. Het heeft ons aan niets ontbroken. De pizzales en diner waren perfect verzorgd door Charlie. De ‘tussendoortjes’ van Salvatore: heerlijk. Een mooi huis met fantastisch uitzicht. Een 30-45 min van Florence. Prima te bereiken. Het weggetje naar het huis is niet best. Volgend jaar is het zwembad gebouwd. Reden te meer om nog eens terug te komen.

Really nice place and truly great people. the location is just a few min from Rufina and easy to reach, owners are great and we really enjoyed the cooking lesson and pizza baking. the place is really spacious and comfortable, Kids loved their own bedroom, running around and swimming pool. highly recommended and definitely will be back!

10 stars!

Just returned home from a 6 night stay at Casa Bada and everything was perfect! We were 5 adults and had more than enough space. The home is fully stocked with anything and everything you could need. I was able to prepare my family a traditional Sunday Italian dinner in a Tuscan farmhouse! The views are breathtaking. Get some meat and cheese and bottle of wine and sit outside. Supermarket and train station are only about 5 min away. A car is definitely needed to get around the area but I recommend using the train to go back and forth to Florence. There is a great little restaurant up the road Lago Di Vetrice that has great pizza. Another great spot not far for lunch is La Bottega del Mulino. Also has a great little market. I recommend a tour of Castello del Trebbio. Beautiful castle and delicious wine. Suzy can direct you to these places. That brings me to Suzy and her family. Such wonderful people! I can’t say enough about them. The hospitality Suzy and Salvatore extended us was incredible. Charlie and Antonio, Suzy’s sons, are 2 of the most respectful young men you’ll ever meet. We had a meal prepared by them, in their home, and it was delicious. I highly recommend arranging this as it was definitely a stand out experience. We had an amazing vacation in a beautiful place! We’re already talking about going back!

Beautiful Setting - Terrific Family Hosts

Lovely home in the Tuscan countryside. Pictures represent home/setting well. Suzy very helpful in making the arrangements for our visit. Highlight of our stay was scheduling two nights for the family to prepare a meal for us. Antonio (Suzy's son- a chef) cooked a wonderful meal our first night. Charlie served the meal and both of her sons were a delight to interact with during our stay. Salvatore, Suzy's husband, prepared pizza in the outside stone oven our last night. It was terrific. Recommend visiting Trebbio Castle for tour and wine tasting. Also recommend having lunch at nearby Bottega Del Mulino (property has windmill) and then it is a beautiful scenic drive over to Trebbio Castle. We very much enjoyed our stay in Tuscany.

Sehr schönes gerÀumiges Haus in toller Umgebung

Nette Gastgeber, die sehr hilfreich sind. Die Zimmer sind sehr gerĂ€umig, wenn auch, fĂŒr unser Befinden etwas dunkel. Ein Bad ist sehr groß, das zweite etwas kleiner. KĂŒche und Aufenthaltsraum sehr groß und gemĂŒtlich. Auf der Terrasse konnten wir die Morgensonne genießen.

Birthday celebration

We loved every moment of our stay! It was a beautiful setting, comfortable and relaxing! Antonio went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed including taking us to town for groceries. He also gave us the best recommendation for nearby restaurants and wineries AND made arrangements/reservations for wine tastings and the best table at a close by restaurant. We all highly recommend this farmhouse and will return! Especially to eat and Antonio’s new restaurant and next to time well remember to bring home some of their olive oil. PS Suzanne was SO helpful and also went above and beyond as I made the booking, had to reschedule and was always prompt to respond with answers and help! Awesome family!!

A lovely home in Tuscan style. Set in the hills outside Florence, a car is essential to reach it. The home is well appointed and maintenance issues were quickly addressed by the owners. The meal cooked by Antonio/Salvatore is highly recommended. Charlie was the perfect waiter. Suzy is a wealth of information for local touring options. Perfect for a family stay.

Beautiful home with stunning views

Highly recommend staying here. You will never want to leave. Not only is the home lovely, but the hosts were so kind, helpful, friendly and made our stay even better. We hired Charlie to cook a scrumptious Italian dinner the night we arrived which was such a treat. Loved the nearby town and easy drive to train station to get to Florence. Fabulous experience!

My husband, myself and another couple spent 5 days at this beautiful farmhouse. Our only complaint was that it wasn't long enough. Suzy made reservations for us for for wine tasting in a nearby castle, which was fabulous. Her husband, Salvatore, and son, Charlie taught us the art of pizza making and then served us dinner. It was an amazing experience in an amazing home in an amazing area of Italy. This was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for being so kind to us.

A wonderful getaway in the Tuscan hills

We've long dreamed of staying at a farm in Tuscany, and we were delighted to make this dream come true at Casa Bada. We loved the comfortable farmhouse and its environs, and we appreciated the hospitality of our hosts. Suzy was wonderful to communicate with, and we only wish we could have met her to thank her in person for all her recommendations, but she left us in good hands with her son Charlie and husband Salvatore. A highlight of the stay definitely was the first night, when we had arranged for Salvatore to prepare a dinner for us, which we enjoyed on their terrace, overlooking the amazing countryside. The garden was dying down and chickens not as active, but Charlie and Salvatore started us out with a good supply of fresh eggs and tomatoes, and they gave us a jar of Salvatore's excellent homemade tomato sauce, which we used one night when we cooked for ourselves. Their olive oil is delicious! We definitely would recommend hiking or driving up the hill to the windmill and its bodega and restaurant for a magical experience. One one recommendation would be to think about the country roads when selecting a rental car. We wished we had had a smaller car, with more clearance for those steep, winding, rutted Italian roads.

This is an amazing property with all the luxuries of home.

Almost every window has a picture perfect view of the countryside below. The spacious kitchen with welcoming 8 foot wide fireplace and antique family-friendly table is the perfect setting for meal after meal of home-cooked Tuscan delicacies. From candle next to the bathtub to the instant hot water kettle in the kitchen, living in this spacious apartment will feel as cozy as your own home. At the time of year we arrived, figs were falling off the trees and into our mouths. We went into Rufina for awesome pizza at il Ritrovo (the host called and made reservations for us), and we drove to Castello dI Trubbio for a private tour (again, great suggestion by our hosts) complete with wine tasting led by sommelier Noami. While we did not use the large swimming pool, it looked beautiful positioned high above the host’s 200 olive trees (you can buy a bottle from their private stock.) I could go on and on, but that is not necessary if you make Casa Badalamente your holiday home in Tuscany.
