Barefoot Getaway is your perfect poolside paradise!

Two bedroom, 2.5 bath cottage in the fantastic Barefoot Cottage community. This gated community provides laid back living and great amenities on Florida's Forgotten Coast. Enjoy the two pools, clubhouse, fitness center, and BBQ areas surrounded by natural areas and quaint walking bridges.

Public beaches are close - it's only about a mile to Windmark Beach and a short drive to the sugar sand of Mexico Beach.

• The main pool is just steps from your front door with the house set off just enough to enjoy being close while maintaining a bit more privacy. View the pool from either of the two screened porches.
• You are close to the parking area which makes unpacking and bringing supplies to the cottage a breeze.
• Barefoot Getaway is on the north side of the main pool; there is minimal road noise!
• Enter through the screened in porch which has a ceiling fan to keep you cool and patio furniture for dining al fresco.
• Step inside to the coastal inspired open floor plan. The entire 1st floor has been redone following Hurricane Michael. The theme is beachy charm, clean and comfortable! The living area includes a 50” Smart flat screen TV. Free cable and WIFI are provided.
• The dining area is bright and comfortable with seating for 6. It's a great place to enjoy a meal, play games or plan your day. Four bar stools at the counter provide even more seating and dining options.
• The kitchen is open to the living area and stocked with everything you need if you choose to cook. You only need to supply your food and seasonings. You can take your pick of a conventional drip coffee maker or a Keurig. Additional appliances include a toaster, blender, crock pot and even a waffle iron!
• The downstairs powder room has a full size stacked washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board. Beach towels are also on hand.
• Upstairs are two bedrooms – each with a king size bed, a flat screen TV, and an en-suite bath. The master suite includes a tiled walk-in shower. Recharge on the private balcony to enjoy the beginning of the day or wind down after a busy day at the beach.

We start all guests out with an initial supply of dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, laundry soap, fabric softener, garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper. If you're staying longer than a weekend, we recommend you bring additional supplies or you can purchase them locally.

Looking for things to do? In addition to the amenities on site, Windmark Beach is about a mile away; Mexico City Beach is just a bit farther. Drive into quaint Port St. Joe and enjoy the local shops, great restaurants, pedestrian and bicycle trails, the marina and so much more! Kayaking, boating, snorkeling, all things water or bicycling; opportunities are plentiful! Go horseback riding in Cape San Blas or head to Apalachicola for a fun day trip! For more hustle and activity, Panama City is a short drive.

Barefoot Getaway is more than just a vacation rental! So come on over, kick off your shoes, get some sand between your toes and ENJOY YOURSELF!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach cottage! The home was in impeccable condition—clean, well cared for, and exactly as described. The location was fantastic, making it easy to enjoy the beach and everything nearby. Communication with the owners was excellent from start to finish; they were responsive, helpful, and made the whole process seamless. This cottage truly had everything we needed and was perfect for a relaxing beach stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

This is our second time to Barefoot Cottages, but our first at B36. We love this area and especially loved being right at the pool. The house had everything you need. We would stay here again.

Great place to stay!

This was our third time visiting Barefoot Cottages for an extended stay and Jennifer's home was by far the best! She went above and beyond to provide everything you could possibly need to make your stay, long or short the best it could be. We enjoyed using the gas grill on the porch several times. There was an abundance of nice beach towels and chairs for visits to nearby Windmark beach. We even fixed the visiting grandkids waffles one morning. Great place, great vacation!

WONDERFUL PLACE!!!!!!!

We stayed in this cute two bedroom home for three nights while on vacation with our two youngest children. Having the pool right outside our front door was PERFECT!!! We drove to Panama Beach one day which was an easy hour drive with lots to do. Mexico Beach area has some pretty beaches to enjoy too. Everything we needed was right in our on home. Can't wait to come back again.

Spring Break Trip

This is our 2nd time staying in this cottage. It really does have a great kitchen supply. Plenty of pots, pans, bowls, and appliances you might need like a blender. Just bring any spices you might need and you will be great. The owner is easy to get in touch with if you needed.

Even Better Than Before!

We came back to Barefoot Bliss after staying last summer and found it just as perfect as it was on our first visit. I loved walking in and feeling like it was better than I remembered! The cottage is so clean, bright, updated and stocked with everything we could possibly need. We are already looking at the calendar to plan our next trip! Thanks for another wonderful visit!

It was a cozy house in a great location! The only thing to be aware is that you are in EST. You may be flying out of Panama City which is CST. The proximity to the pool is great! The house is lovely! The host is attentive.

Barefoot Bliss was practically perfect! Bright, clean, beachy and just what we hoped for!

We were thrilled with this cottage - it was so clean and well-maintained. All of the windows made it bright and airy. I spent every morning and evening out on the screened porch. We had two adults and four kids and felt that there was just enough room for all to spread out. The cottage was perfectly located between Port St Joe and Cape San Blas, so we never felt like we had far to go! We certainly hope to be back and even all of the kids, as we were leaving, said they can’t wait until we stay at Barefoot Bliss again!

Nice cottage with everything we needed!

We had a great time in this cottage for a long weekend in October 2018. Two master bedrooms upstairs are great for two couples; also a pull-out couch downstairs that we did not use. The cottage is well appointed for cooking and entertainment. It is right next to the shared pool/hot tub. ~30 minutes to St. Joe Peninsula State Park and less than 10 minutes into Port St. Joe for restaurants, pubs, groceries, and package store. We will be back!

The property was just as advertised. Our cottage was just steps from the pool which was nice since we had several rainy, cloudy days. The cottage was very well stocked for any cooking you might want to do. We enjoyed sitting on the screened patio for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Port St Joe has some very good dining options that we enjoyed. Even though we are not coming home with a tan we enjoyed several great meals from Provisions, The View on 98 and Joe Mammas Pizza.

We felt welcomed and comfortable the second we walked in. The cottage is the perfect size for us and our two girls. We had everything we needed when we got here as our arrival was later than expected. We actually could have gotten in early this visit as we were contacted in time to plan for an early check in. I would recommend this unit as the owners were fantastic from day one and everything was as expected upon arrival. We will be making reservations soon for next summer! We don't want to stay anywhere else:)

Perfect For Two Couples

Barefoot Cottages is a gated community with a great location between Mexico Beach and the town of Port Saint Joe. We found the cottage "Barefoot Bliss" to be exceptional. The parking is located just steps from the front door of this beautifully decorated home. Both bedrooms have comfortable king beds and en-suite baths. It was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and a generous supply of quality bath towels. The owners were quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely rent "Barefoot Bliss" again!
