Get Outdoors at Song of the Sea~ WindMark Beach, Screened Deck, Perfect Location
Nestled between Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach, WindMark Beach Resort is an active coastal community tucked away from the rest of the world. While private from the outside, this vacation resort is bursting with activity within. A walking trail winds along the shoreline from end to end, inviting you outdoors whether you are walking, jogging, or riding your bike. Along this trail are multiple boardwalks making access to the beach easy and convenient. When booking Song of the Sea, take advantage of our Beach Gear program, and rent your bike, kayak, paddleboard, beach cart, corn hole set, or beach chairs and umbrella. A community highlight is the resort-style, zero entry pool available for WindMark guests and owners. When night falls, build a fire at the community fire pit. If youâre looking for something a little more intimate, add a beach bonfire to your reservation and have Light Up Your Night Beach Bonfires do all the work in setting up and cleaning up your beach bonfire.
Thereâs not much need for a vehicle once you park the car in the spacious driveaway at Song of the Sea. Walking to the beach is an easy trek using the maintained community boardwalk. WindMark Beach Town Center is an easy walk or bike ride away when you're not enjoying the calm waters. We had a great time. This is our second year at Mexico Beach. We love it. Lot less crowded. The house was great. Plenty of parking for all of us. Will probably go back to Mexico beach next year!
The house was beautiful, clean and well decorated. The beds were wonderful! Needs treated for ants outside.
The location is what we were most disappointed with, the pool closes at 9pm and there is nothing else to do for families, could definitely use some board games for adults/teens in the home.
The beach was not ideal for what we were expecting, as a natural preserve it was difficult with kids. However cape San blas is a 30 minute drive with beautiful beaches for the whole family.
The pool is very small for the size of the neighborhood and on good days was 4 1/2 feet deep max. The chairs are dirty and ants are everywhere. It was not a walkable distance in July heat and while most had golf carts for use we did not have that luxury. Everyone is friendly and it's quiet, we felt safe and enjoyed our time in this beautiful home but not recommended for a family that wants things to do or has teens to entertain.
The hot water heater was an issue and apparently needs some electrical updates, maintenance was sent to look at it and the property managers were aware of the issues prior to our arrival but 4 days of having to reset outlets for hot water was quite displeasing.
Overall very nice home, thank you for allowing us to stay.
Upon arrival we realized we had no hot water. When trying to contact property manager the cell & Wi-Fi service was horrible. Finally made contact with Justin from Pristine Properties once we were in town. He was very nice & stated he couldnât fix the problem with hot water until Saturday. Once we returned from dinner, my husband & 2 of his friends hooked up an extention cord (our cord!) from outside the home through the downstairs bathroom to give power the tankless water heater. Justin informed me that he would send someone Saturday morning to hopefully fix the issue. The maintenance guy showed up around 12:00 eastern time as we were leaving the home. We returned to the home late that evening to a note saying an Electrician would have to come fix the issue & they couldnât come til Monday. Thank goodness my husband & his friends are handy enough to get the issue with the hot water heater rigged enough so 8 people that were in the home would have hot water for our entire stay.
Multiple light bulbs need replacing- master bedroom closet, master bathroom vanities have lights out. The outside shower didnât work. The thermostat Iâm guessing is programmed to change 78 degrees around 11 eastern, so be prepared to get hot upstairs & downstairs until you realize you can adjust the temperature. Saturday morning myself, an adult & 4 children were literally sweating trying to get our bathing suits on to enjoy the beach! Property Manager Justin needs to do BETTER!
