We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Mariazinha Charming Hotel in Portimão. Mohamed and the staff made us feel so welcome—truly gracious and lovely. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and far beyond what we expected: fresh-squeezed orange juice, great coffee, charcuterie, yogurt with honey, eggs, and even gluten-free bread specially prepared for me once they learned about my intolerance. That kind of thoughtfulness meant so much. The location is perfect—just steps from the beach and so close to all the fun and nightlife, yet still very quiet and private when you return to the hotel. We arrived with no expectations and left already dreaming about coming back. I highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portimão!

Superb stay. Wow, you have two of the hardest workers who are genuinely happy to do everything they can for the customers. Breakfast was fantastic. Service was top tier throughout our short stay.

Great hotel, great location, lovely breakfast and very close to beach. No staff on site most of the time so have to call for anything, but staff were responsive and attentive when required. Rooms not soundproofed as it states on description, not an issue for me but noticeable for light sleepers

We loved our stay, the hotel is certainly well designed and charming. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is well located, close to restaurants and only steps from the stairs to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Portimao, close to the main beaches and restaurants. Very convenient and walkable. Also, a great base if you are doing day trips to other areas in Algarve, such as Albufieri and Lagos. Many reviews have mentioned the great breakfast, and it is, but it is the hospitality of the host, Mohammed, that is exceptional. The staff are great and the property is very well maintained. Would stay again.

Charming hotel on a not charming street

This little hotel truly was charming, but sadly it was on the most un charming street I’ve ever experienced in a resort town. It really belongs somewhere else entirely but if you ignore the context, the room was great. The balcony was nice if not the view. The people that work there seem a little stressed so that wasn’t relaxing, but the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel and it was included in the price.

Disappointing trying to get a hold of the host, tried calling, e mailing several times with no response. Not sure why you have a hotel if you have no interest helping the people staying there. Walls are paperthin. Bar shown in the photos was never open
