The Neighborhood:
No trip to Dorset is complete without spending a day on the Isle of Portland, a unique island famed for its heritage, rugged landscape and spectacular views. Just a short drive from our Dorset holiday parks, this tied peninsula is steeped in maritime history and offers a wealth of unique and interesting places for intrepid visitors to explore.

As you drive onto the island you will be greeted by the world’s largest man-made harbour and the home of the 2012 Olympic sailing events. Here you can walk around the marina and look at the impressive yachts, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, participate in a range of water-based activities, including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding.

Getting Around:
Getting around Portland is easy, you can walk, cycle or drive to nearby attractions.

Excellent holiday home, would love to stay again

8 of us stayed - 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 8 months to 15 years old. The house is absolutely gorgeous and well equipped. We were only a 10 minute drive from Weymouth beach where we spent each day of our long weekend. We also had a walk to the big stoney beach on the evening and watched the sunset. Garden was beautiful and we made use of the bbq and lovely seating area. It felt like home from home and we all enjoyed our stay so much we wasn’t ready to go home! We would love to stay again but maybe for a week next time. Lots of contact with the owner and any questions prior to our stay were answer promptly. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home 😊

Perfect house and location

A beautiful spacious property which suited our family perfectly - a fully enclosed garden for our dog and a football field outside the front door for our teenage boy! The house is well equipped and the owners have thought of everything. We enjoyed our daily walks to Chesil beach and the harbour, and had a really relaxing stay. In fact we enjoyed it so much we booked up for next year while we were still there!
