I was awoken at 10:30pm with questions about my car being held in valet. My name is hyphenated and the valet ticket only reflected my first and partial last name. The cordless phone had a horrible connection with the front desk and the call dropped. I couldn't call the front desk back because it was dead. I called the Benson Hotel from my personal cell phone and tried to be connected to the front desk but after continuous ringing, the call ended as "the party couldn't be reached". I had to get dressed and go downstairs at 10:30pm to find the person who woke me up wasn't at the front desk and the other attendant wasn't sure why she had called me and perhaps it was due to my name on the valet card..... TV wouldn't work- check cable connection (front desk said, "Oh just push channels up and down). Then I could never connect with the internet on my cell phone, kept denying my name/room number to the connection verification to gain wifi access... Didn't realize there was a code to scan to gain access to room service options, including any dining, I looked for a room book but none.... Overall, tech issues were horrible, hotel was beautiful, rooms were clean and amenities nice quality, enjoyed the am coffee cart, staff friendly. Didn't request view room but was disappointed that our view was internal only, I don't think there were that many guests to not have had a room with a view. My guess is there was concern for street noise? Two night stay so it was brief. Thank you.
