The hotel lobby was absolutely beautiful with marble and wood paneling. The hotel is over 100 years old and so the rooms were a little tight but had all of the amenities. The bathroom was small but very nice. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the price was reasonable for a hotel meal. My only complaint is that the beds were a little uncomfortable so I was glad that we were only staying the one night.

We really hope downtown Portland bounces back, but there are still concerns about the addicts in the area and people on the sidewalk. I would not feel safe walking there by myself, which is unfortunate. We did park in the lot across from the Benson and if I hadn’t been with my husband, I would not have been comfortable walking even that far. The Benson itself was lovely and I hope that the community continues to recover

This hotel is a Portland classic. Service is excellent. Especially Richard in the beautiful Benson bar. Everything is within walking distance or a short train ride away. The rooms are beautiful and very well kept. I love my stays at the Benson. Highly recommend!

We arrived early and were met with a friendly greeting and an early check in. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient to downtown and the Pearl District. We have stayed here before and will likely return.
