Restaurants and entertainment in the immediate area is sparse. However, the neighborhood is ten minutes from downtown Portsmouth, an artsy area with a wide variety of restaurants and entertainment. Much of the economy in the city is driven by the Portsmouth naval Hospital and the Naval shipyard, located within short travel distance to the property.
