Waterfront vacation home with a dock

Welcome to our Incredible waterfront retreat, a perfect place to create lasting memories on the shore of the Sakonnet River.

The fixed dock allows guests to truly access the water in the way only a dock can provide, swim, paddle-board, kayak, grab a rod and fish for dinner, Bring your own boat and hook up to our mooring if the water is rough. When the sun is setting it's time to jump in the 6 person hot tub while you watch the boats cruising by.

With 3 bedrooms and a walkout basement with futon, there is plenty of room for large families or families traveling together. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances and all the comforts of home including a pantry stocked with the basic cooking essentials. The dining area is located next to the kitchen with seating for 6 around a reclaimed wood dining table. The living room is comfortable with two couches a surround sound system and 55" LCD tv for movie nights. There are two levels of decks one that wraps around three sides of the house, the other on the ground level features the hot tub.

The Master bedroom suite is a retreat in itself, with a luxurious Carrara marble walk-in shower with multiple shower heads and body sprays to the custom marble double vanity you will feel pampered. The bedroom looks over the water with a small deck you truly feel like you are on a boat while relaxing on the high-end King pillow top mattress. The other 2 bedrooms are well equipped with memory foam mattresses and luxury linens, everyone will get a perfect nights sleep ready for another day in paradise.

This is the perfect location to access all that the Rhode Island shore has to offer. Downtown Newport is a short 15-minute drive, hit First or Second beach in ten minutes or head to Third beach by boat or car. In the rare event, the weather isn't perfect head to Greenvale or Newport vineyards for tastings or visit Sweetberry farm for fresh fruit, produce and farm to table prepared food.

The place was fabulous! The pictures do not do justice for this listing.Exceptionally clean.Located in a beautiful development.Newport was a short drive and had great shops on Thames Street.Plenty of great restaurants in the area as well.I would say the only downside was the communication of the host. The only info let for the house was "lock the door when leaving" which was fine until we had questions. Sent several questions & concerns to host in the week we spent there only to try & google answers because the turnover for response was poor. When host responded, not all questions were addressed. My only advice: let renters know when garbage & recycle day is, list any appliances that are not working 100% before they rent the home, instructions how to maintenance the hot tub if using daily on their stay.Many Vrbo homes had a reduction in price if staying a full week or reduction in price if returning to the same home in the near futureUnfortunately these questions were not addressed along with a few others.Overall the place was great!

Mother’s Day Getaway

This house was perfect for our Mother’s Day getaway. There were seven of us and we had plenty of space in the house. The master bedroom that overlooked the water was amazing. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. The house is close to so many things, including Newport and two wineries. We hope to book this house again at the same time next year!

Amazing family stay for my daughter’s wedding.

The sunrise on the water begins the day and the home is so comfortable and spacious. The location was terrific! The master shower is spectacular. The rooms are perfectly cool with AC everywhere! The sunset when we arrived at the house was breathtaking. The photos don’t do the house justice, great layout and all the picture windows make for amazing views all day long. Chris was very responsive to us. The beds are very comfortable which is really important to me! Great stay. Would 100% stay here again.

Wonderful views

We enjoyed the property and have very little complaints. The best part of the property is the location. We loved the views from several rooms and really truly appreciated the hot tub. The owner kept the hot tub in good condition at the appropriate temperature. We enjoyed the master bedroom shower and the air conditioning in the bedrooms. Our family made use of the weights in the gym. Finally, the beds and seating we’re comfortable. With a couple of small improvements, the property would be even better. I think the basement futon could be improved with a mattress pad and cover sheet. Thank you to the owner for sharing the property.

Sadly this was no where near what we had hoped! Ant infestation - all over the kitchen and in the master bathroom. Exposed electrical outlets on exterior of house (not ideal with an 18 month old) Central air is on its way out, compressor was super noisy (def no where near the calming experience we had hoped for on the back deck). Upstairs had window air units to subsidize for the failing central AC. One broke during our stay. General upkeep of the property wasn’t great - you can tell this is rented, A LOT. No one cared to cut grass, weed, or take out trash. Garbage cans on the driveway were overflowing and food was all over the place when we arrived. The worst part of it all though was the lack of response from the owner (or management company?). Literally had to chase them for check in details with less than 24 hours prior to arriving. When we reached out about the ants and AC, not one response until we checked out. The icing on the cake? The attempt of the owner/management company to silence our review. They had the indecency to suggest we waive our review rights in exchange for a partial refund. I wonder how many others actually did that. Great views. Good bones. But def not worth the money.
