Welcome to Hale `Ikena Kai ("home of mystical ocean") at Pali Ke Kua, a unique home vacation experience on Kauai’s stunning North Shore!

This intimate one-bedroom condo at Pali Ke Kua is perched high on the Princeville ocean bluff and offers jaw-dropping 180-degree views of the Pacific, Hanalei Bay and waterfall-laced mountains that will literally take your breath away. It's the ideal place to relax and unwind but also centrally located to many nearby activities. The condo is fully furnished and adorned with everything you could possibly need for a carefree vacation.

Ikena Kai has unobstructed, expansive ocean views from just about every room and the lanai, and is one of the most beautiful vacation home rentals on the tropically-lush park-like Pali Ke Kua property.

As a ground-floor end unit, this condo has travertine-style porcelain tiles in the living area, Bose SoundTouch WiFi music system, 65" Samsung Smart TV in the living room, Quartz countertops, GE and Samsung stainless steel appliances, new Sealy Posturpedic Plus Cal-King mattress, premium sheets and linens, a new washer + dryer and laundry products for our guests' use. A/C units are available in both the bedroom and the main living area to keep you comfortable when Hawaii's trade winds take a break. Ceiling and floor fans in each room help keep the A/C or trade winds circulate throughout the condo, giving you ease of comfort on those warm tropical days.

With the ocean bluff a mere 20 feet from our lanai, you have front row seats to watch the waves and sea life, smell the flora of Paradise and listen to the surf while sipping coffee, enjoying wine and nibbles while the sun sets or kicking back in our brand new lounge chairs.

A beautiful private swimming pool and hot tub for guests of Pali Ke Kua is a stone throw's away - as well as a paved path on the property, winding down to the ocean and an intimate beach, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. A large private parking lot provides plenty of free parking near the condo as well. And Hideaways Pizza Pub, a full-scale restaurant is on the property for easy dine-in or take-out dinners.

Start your day with a breakfast of fresh fruits grown by local farmers. Then, stroll through our lush tropical vegetation as you use our private paved path to visit the magnificent golden-sand swimming-snorkeling-surfing Hideaways Beach with sparkling blue and emerald water. Fall asleep to the sound of the surf or watch the (seasonal) whales, turtles and dolphins swim just outside your lanai. As the day ends, take a moment to admire nightly gorgeous sunsets from that precious 180-degree view. Then, enjoy dining at Hideaways Pizza Pub , Pali Ke Kua's onsite restaurant or at one of a few nearby restaurants at the recently-opened 1-Hotel Hanalei. If staying in sounds better, cook your own meal in our well-appointed kitchen. Throughout your stay, you will find everything you need at the Princeville Shopping Center, less than 2 miles up the road or take a stroll up a paved walking path to the center. When you feel like exploring, take a short drive to one of the many exquisite beaches along Kauai’s North Shore - Ke'e and Tunnels are just a few favorites north of Princeville. 7 minutes down the hill, just north of Princeville is the iconic beach town of Hanalei, or 10 minutes the opposite direction - enjoy shopping and dining in Kilauea town after swimming with the Honu (sea turtles) at Anini Beach (between Princeville and Kilauea).

Guests of Pali Ke Kua will enjoy a spacious private parking lot nearby the unit, free of charge.

*We have a 4-night minimum stay but occasionally shorter stays may be accommodated. Ask us!

*Late check-outs will only be guaranteed by booking the night of departure.

*There are NO extra fees assessed for A/C usage.

*In order to keep our properties in tip-top shape, we require a mid-stay clean for every stay of 11 nights or more, two mid-stay cleans with 21 nights or more, three mid-stay cleans with 28 nights or more. The mid-stay clean fee @$150 is an additional fee paid by the guest at time of service, directly to our cleaners.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful condo! The view was absolutely amazing—we couldn't get enough of watching the sunset over Bali Hai every evening. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. We were even lucky enough to spot whales from the lanai, which was such a special experience.The condo had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The private access to the beach was a bonus, making it so easy to enjoy the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. In fact, we ate most of our meals in the condo because the views from the dining area were some of the best on the island!The hosts were wonderful—super communicative and helpful. They sent over a detailed list of recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try before we even arrived, which made planning our trip so much easier.Overall, we had an exceptional stay and would love to return in the future. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway in Kauai.

Our hosts were so thoughtful and generous. There was a hand-written card and a bag of locally roasted coffee. Their activity suggestions were great and they even had bandaids on hand ( it’s the little details sometimes). We highly recommend this property!

Absolutely fantastic! 5 stars on everything

The view did not disappoint! I think others have said this, but you almost don't want to leave the condo because the view is everything and more -- the whales, the geese and other birds, even a couple geckos in front of the lanai. The condo is clean, nice refrigerator/oven/microwave, for a vacation all the cookware you likely need (and we rarely ate out). The overall property that the condo is part of is well maintained, the outdoor pool was very nice as well. And Anne and George (the owners) were wonderful to interact with. (E.g. Anne would notify me if there were going to be road closures or delays due to area road construction.) We definitely want to come back!

What a perfect Condo and location! There was one marvelous moment after another from check in to check out. An absolute oasis!! The time on the balcony is so relaxing you have to remind yourself there is more to see. I can’t say enough good about this property and I can’t wait to return. Do yourself a favor and stay here! Location is great - amazing views with the sun setting over the ocean every night from an updated clean condo. They have thought of everything - beach supplies (umbrella, chairs, towels, cooler, boogie boards), well stocked kitchen, a rain umbrella we luckily did not need, bath robes, and even charging stations for electronics. Communication and recommendations from the owner were great and timely. They clearly take pride in what they do. We are already planning our return.

Perfect setting, beach access is a fairly easy walk and feels almost private . Accommodation had everything we needed, comfortable and the view is spectacular. We had breakfast on the lanai every morning and evening sunsets. Great communication from hosts. Would love to return.

Paradise in Princeville

There really is no other way to describe this than simply “paradise “. Although at times the pictures of rental properties can be a bit misleading, I assure you this is not. The view from the lanai is absolutely stunning! The condo is clean, modern and supplied with everything you could want from phone chargers to white robes for the guests. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable, and the washer/dryer in the bathroom was much appreciated. The kitchen is also extremely well stocked with everything you could want. There is a walking path along the nearby golf course for those long morning walks. The private beach is down a rather long steep trail and we found it much less appealing than other nearby beaches. There are beach chairs, boogie boards and a beach umbrella also provided for your use. Anne responded promptly to any questions we had. I just cannot think of any negatives about this Paradise in Princeville. You will not go wrong with this rental.

The location and view were exceptional, sunsets over the ocean in another season but still great. We liked being able to walk to the 1 Hanalai Bay Resort and beach below, great swimming there. The only minor issue we had was getting the AC right, but would definitely recommend this unit.

Location Location Location!!

This property is fabulous and the view truly spectacular. Our hosts, Anne and George, not only shared their little slice of heaven, but also shared their comprehensive tips on all you need to know while on Kauai; restaurants, beaches, activities, farmer’s markets amongst other things. We could have sat on the lanai soaking in the view and listening to the waves all day! Their property is walking distance to the beach below the newly renovated 1Hotel. Great beach to take your beach chairs and bogey boards to- additionally Hideaways beach is literally below their property. We can not say enough about this property!!

Great condo, beautiful sunsets

Our stay was excellent! The condo was clean and well maintained. Each night we sat on the patio and watched the sun set over the ocean. Very nice area. Would highly recommend!
