The hotel and cleaning staff are so wonderful. The cleaning staff runs the place like the Navy. Our room itself was cold and drafty. The older historic building has that drafty charm. Luckily, the hotel staff provided us with some space heaters to create more heat. Coffee is always lovely from Poindexter and so is the staff. Outside of of cold room, the stay was lovely.

Unfortunately the room was not in great condition. The window treatments would not move up and down. The bed was so uncomfortable we were both tossing and turning all night from weird back pain which had never happened to us before. No fan in the bathroom. The comforter was thin and not warm enough. There were just weird details that felt rushed and shotty. Like paint sloppily done on trims and baseboards. You had to make sure the doors were pulled closed when you left the room. Twice I thought they were closed but came back and they were propped open. Overall I would not come back. Especially for the price for a king suite. This place has so much potential, it’s just sad the way it was renovated designed.

Very accommodating. We were able to check in early with no issue, they brought us extra blankets, and reached out to us during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

Everything was fine except for when we got into the room the heat was off and it never really turned on fully all night. Due to being an old building, we called maintenance and they said turn the heat off to try and restart it, but it didn’t really kick on full blast so it was a chilly night. Probably won’t stay there during the winter time again

Staff was really nice. Room had cracked sink, peeling wall paper, and leaking shower, but still charming in its own way. Unfortunately, there's no room service, but there's a restaurant connected to the hotel that was closed when we arrived. In proximity to a lot of places downtown. I felt safe there.
