Location, location, location! Coriander cottage was an excellent place for my wife and I to enjoy Turks and Caicos for the first time. Cottage was clean and presented exactly as the photos suggested. Highlight of the property is the proximity to the pristine beaches just a few short steps away. Most days there were only a couple people on the beach which also presented great snorkeling and turquoise water. Another bonus was the entertainment through the television. Full cable and many apps. Came in handy catching NFL playoff games. The cottage is located in a very private end of the island so there is not too much action which we preferred. Plenty of space for a rental car which we highly recommend to explore the island. Our favorite beach spot was Taylor Bay. We will definitely come back again!
Our flight was delayed coming in until well after hours; nevertheless a TC villas staff member was at the villa and greeted us with a smile and helped us settle in - a great start! Thereafter, we found the villa very well appointed and it seemed most everything we needed was in the first place we looked. Of not, unlike many vacation rentals where the extra items are ok, but obviously the bargain brand (ie, toaster; coffee maker, etc.) this villa was furnished and equipped with high quality items throughout. The location was excellent and perfect for a quick get way for me and my wife while the kids were away at camp. The villa felt super private in a very nice neighborhood of much larger homes on the water. Although we could not see the beach, the raised terrace by the pool let us hear the waves and catch the sea breeze. The beach (a Very short walk away) was amazing - snorkeling right off the access point and an hour worth of uninterrupted white sand walking to the southeast. Recommend renting a car (for most any stay on TCI). As long as your in the Grace Bay or West Bay (Bite) area and have beach access, I donât think exact location is important as quality of accommodation. I would definitely return to this villa. Also, if you have a day to fill, book a ferry to and car on North & Middle Caicos (ferry dock is a 15 min drive at the end of the islandâs main road). Start by driving all the way to Bambarra beach on Middle and then work your way back.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary in Provo. Coriander Cottage was exactly as depicted in the photographs, perfect for two people. Being within walking distance of the beach and Smiths Reef was fantastic and yes the snorkeling is awesome! The amenities provided were more than expected: ie. a couple beach chairs, beach towels, a small cooler, plenty of cookware. We used the washer and dryer which was convenient. We would definitely return to Coriander Cottage and the Turtle Cove area.
We really enjoyed the stay at the Coriander Villa in T&C. It was very clean and well kept. The neighborhood was clean and felt secure. Access to the beach was excellent! If I had to offer a few suggestions they would be: Please provide a sturdy beach umbrella (The Tommy Bahama ones are great!), some folding beach chairs and a soft sided cooler that can be taken to the beach. There were some chairs leftover from a previous guest but they were the folding camping type and not conducive to beach use. The property manager dropped off an umbrella a few days into the stay but it was beat up and wouldn't stay up (looked like it was worth about 7$). We had to buy some beach chairs locally and left them at the villa.
I only mention the chairs, umbrella and cooler because I've stayed at numerous VRBO beach houses and they were always provided.
Other than those minor suggestions, it was a WONDERFUL stay! I would highly recommend Coriander Vila.
