Casa Zéphyr is located in Dos Brazos, a village of gold seekers, in the middle of the jungle in the immediate vicinity of the Corcovado.

Perfect for a couple, Casa Zéphyr can also accommodate up to six people in a master bedroom (Queen Size bed and private bathroom with hot water) and a bedroom open to the outside (double bunk beds and outdoor shower). THE PROPERTY

Casa Zéphyr is located on the property of Amazonita (literally "little Amazonia"), a small family Ecolodge composed of a set of three houses (from 2 to 6 people) and a restaurant spread over 10 hectares of tropical forest crossed by two torrents. The houses are built of "fallen" wood and bamboo from the property. Located high on a hill and very open to the outside, they offer a breathtaking view of the rainforest and direct contact with nature. You will not need a television here, the landscape will be your flat screen when you admire the clouds which flirt with the canopy in the early morning and the macaws or the toucans which play with the vertiginous tops of the trees. Like a Robinson on his island, you will have the impression of living the first morning of the world every day ...

At the entrance to the property is the charming restaurant of the lodge "La Cuchara Tica" housed in a former gold digger house.

ACTIVITIES

Amazonita Ecolodge is located in the heart of the jungle, in the "Réserve Forestal Golfo Dulce", between the two arms of the Rio Tigre and 200 meters from a little-known entrance to the Corcovado National Park.

It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature or to practice many activities, guided or not, on site or in the immediate vicinity.

The terrace of the house allows you to observe the flora and fauna of the rainforest from the ground to the canopy.

The house is located just 5 minutes from the new Corcovado National Park trail and 100 meters from the beautiful Finca Bolita trails with waterfalls, natural pools and breathtaking views of the Golfo Dulce. There are many trails in the jungle, waterfalls, natural showers ...

For lovers of refreshing swimming, the Rio Tigre, with its translucent waters and natural pools, passes at the foot of the property. And "la Bruja", a magnificent little waterfall surrounded by greenery and serving as a natural shower, is only a few minutes' walk away.

You can also meet real gold miners and watch the birds. Dos Brazos is a world renowned birdwatching spot ...

Finally, Dos Brazos is only 20 minutes from Puerto Jimenez and close to the beaches of Golfo Dulce including the famous surfers' beaches of Cabo Matapalo.

- Catering service. You can use the house kitchen but Zulay (at the lodge restaurant) can offer you typical cuisine and international wines in a cosmopolitan, friendly and family atmosphere.

- Massage / Pedicure / Manicure. With all his state diplomas in his pocket, Zulay is at your disposal to offer you a wellness cure. Do not hesitate to call on her services, she does wonders ... The rates are to do with her on site.

- In the case of a long stay, the price includes a cleaning of your accommodation as well as the change of sheets and towels every three days.

HOME ON SITE

Pascal and Gilles, two French people living in Puerto Jimenez, are there to welcome you and answer your questions. They can also organize many activities for you on site or nearby.

Zulay and William, a couple of adorable ticos, live on site. Zulay maintains the house with great love and taste. She is an extraordinary cook. She can prepare your meals at the lodge restaurant, her cuisine is varied and tasty.

OTHER REMARKS

Do not especially think by seeing the mosquito nets on the photos that you will be disturbed or even devoured by hordes of hungry insects every night after dark! Oddly, although we are in the middle of the rainforest and the houses are very open, mosquitoes are rare. The lights mainly attract some beautiful little disturbing insects or moths that you will be delighted to take a picture of.

Note that there is no internet access in Amazonita's accommodation for the simple reason that there is little or no telephone network where we are located and that we should invest in high quality equipment. very expensive range to have. See it as an advantage, take the opportunity to observe the nature around you and to spend evenings making a new world with your soul mate or your friends over a hot glass or cup of tea. I promise, that feels good… Anyway, this is what all the people who stay with us tell us. However, if you had an emergency, be aware that there is still a pretty good 3G telephone network at the lodge restaurant and a somewhat slow but free wifi spot at the village school.

If you want to cook for yourself, consider shopping in Puerto Jimenez before heading to Dos Brazos. The village has a small "Pulperia" which is useful in troubleshooting but offers little choice.

Finally, if you are traveling with several couples or in a group and you need more space, you can book Casa Zénon or Casa Philae, two adorable chalets located on the property and which can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people each.
