Nice and quiet close to supermarkets restaurants and near beach 1 km.
bedroom , bath furnitured, kitchen, pool, last floor terraza with view to mangroos and sea gym equipment. we are close to chedraui supermarket and only 25 minutes to cancun airport (5 blocks) and ADO bus station where you can take the bus to intermunicipal cities like tulum, chichen itza, playa del carmen, cancun and many more. We are located in puerto morelos fisherman town in the middle of rivera maya.
Our room was big and bright with a nice large kitchen and terrace with a table and comfy chairs. We were provided bicycles for getting around, the beach is a ten minute cycle away. A lovely "jungly" back yard with a pool. The mangrove forest stretching out towards the ocean provides glimpses of colourful tropical birds and the occasional agouti crosses the street. The old town is a short walk away, with grocery stores, restaurants and pharmacies. The beach is gorgeous, soft white sand with more shops and restaurants. Our hosts Bernardo and Eva were exceptional, friendly and helpful in every way, thank you! We cannot wait to go back!
We really enjoyed staying at Bernadoâs Buenos Dias condominium in Puerto Morelos (PM). Bernado and his wife were super friendly and helpful in guiding us finding places and making activity suggestions during our stayâin near perfect English. Bernado promptly replied to our emails regarding practical questions before we got there. The location of the condo is perfect: walking distance to the supermarket (1 km â 10 min.) and âurbanâ PM, 3 km â 15 min. lovely bike ride to the beach and the otherâ resortâ section of PM. It takes 20 min. to get from and to Cancun airport using the very reliable ADO bus service for only 122 pesos. The condo itself is located in a quiet gated (safe) new development in the PM urban neighborhood of Puntanera. There are multiple excellent restaurants offering genuine Mexican food both in urban and âbeachâ PM. The beach is calm and very pretty. There is a lot of seaweed, but locals try to remove as much as possible. (This is a new âproblemâ not specific to beaches in PMâthe same observation applies to Playa del Carmen, Cancun, etc.) Snorkeling from the shore is limited, but for 500 pesos one can go on a 2h-snorkeling expedition by boat to the PM reefâone of the biggest and healthiest reefs in the world. Fishing expeditions are also available, as well as ruins and cenotes visits, etc. Our unit was modern (1 year old), clean, and super-efficient for our needs. We had 2 totally independent bedrooms (separate entrances & bathrooms), one common kitchen, 2 balconies, as well as an outside smoking area. The condo was very spacious and decorated with great taste. The building is adjacent to the jungle, which contains lagoons with fish (if youâre into fishing). A bonus was frequent visits from Bernadoâs charming cat and conversations with Pepe the Perot. Highly recommended. We are already planning to go back.
