Casa de Juega: Beautiful beachfront with lovely views of the Sea of Cortez

Casa de Juega is a charming three-bedroom, three-bath townhome located in the Las Olas section of Las Conchas. The master suite includes a king-size bed and private bath. The second bedroom features a twin-over-queen bunk bed with access to a hallway bathroom. The third bedroom serves as a second master suite, with a king bed, private exterior entrance, and beautifully tiled bathroom.

The fully equipped kitchen has most small appliances, including a coffee maker, blender, toaster, and microwave (dishwasher not included). The living and dining area boasts a wood-burning fireplace (bring your own wood or fire logs) and opens onto a patio overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
Additional amenities include central air conditioning, ceiling fans in every room, wireless internet, local telephone, Satellite TV with Monitor/DVD/VCR, CD and radio, a charcoal barbecue (bring your own charcoal), patio furniture, and an outdoor foot shower.

Owner requests no smoking inside. Sheets and one set of bath towels are provided.

This home is pet-friendly with a $75 fee per pet.

We had a wonderful time here with our small children. The beach is lovely and we had perfect weather in late November. The house is very comfortable and clean with colorful tile work. There is lots of kitchenware and sand toys. Overall a fantastic stay.

This was a beautiful casita right on the beach. The unobstructed access to the beach with beautiful views and warm water was priceless. The casita is new or very recently renovated and had all of the amenities we could ask for in our 3 night stay. We cooked in the kitchen looking out through the open plan living room and the big sliding glass doors to the ocean. The casita is spacious and having 2 bathrooms (with bidet toilets! ) felt luxurious. This is a quiet part of Penasco and well away from the bustle of the big tourist infrastructure.

Welcoming place to stay

This property was a very enjoyable long weekend for us. It had plenty of room for just the two of us, but left such a warm welcome that we would rent this property again with our adult children along for the trip. Clean, cozy and everyone was super helpful!

July Weekend

I gave an overall 2 star. Here's why - there were pros and cons with this property. The Pros The property is in a great location. Right on the beach, open the sliding glass doors and walk right on the beach. The property is very clean, although a bit out dated, could use some fresh paint inside. Appliances worked great, refrigerator kept items very cold. There were umbrellas , chairs, grill (bring charcoal or pick up from local convenience store, which is close) . The Con There is a separate bedroom with full bathroom. This room was completely unusable. The smell in the room was like sewage and mold, you could not breath in the room. This was very unfortunate as we had another couple with us for a few days and they had to sleep in the room with the bunk beds. We did advise management and someone came and sprayed the room, which did nothing to solve the smell issue. So we paid for a three bedroom and not all three rooms were usable. So if you have three couples going, be aware of the outside bedroom smells extremely bad.

The place was well-stocked and super clean. Had absolutely no issues. Check-in/out was a breeze. A nice place right on the beach

Best Place

Best place to stay in Los Conchas for beach access and fishing. Have rented before on second row. Worth renting right on the beach. Had a great time. Excellent property! Clean, updated, nothing negative about this one!

Wedding Weekend

We enjoyed the property as we were on the beach. The property had some sort of a water leak while we were there so we had workers around the property the entire weekend. There wasn't any hot water. The property management company made arrangements for us to use another unit for showers. Just know that you are limited on the amount of water use for each person staying at the house.

Lovely well-equipped property

We love the tile in this property, especially in the bathrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped, much better than most. The location right on the beach is perfect for us. Our only problem was that one day it ran out of water. In general, would highly recommend this property.

Overall we had a great time. There were beach toys/equipment for the kids. Lounge chairs and table to sit at. Perfect view of the water. Tabletop games and puzzles to play with. The only con was some of the beach equipment was weathered. Pricing was extremely reasonable. We will definitely stay again.

Girls Trip 2023

The property was clean and as advertised. Was perfect for our girls trip!! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. We saw a bunch of little stingrays along the beach. We really enjoyed the patio and the view! Only thing we had an issue with was the sand had been washed away from the steps at the patio and was a little tricky getting down to the beach but otherwise it was perfect for our group.

Everything you could ask for, one spot.

Probably my most favorite place in Penasco! This area is peaceful, clean, not to crowded, and the house was so clean and well equipped. We had such an amazing time here, we will be going back.

Construction Zone

Apparently this area had a Hurricane in September and almost all the beachfront homes sustained damage. The resulting cleanup and repairs needed will take a long time. None of this was mentioned in the listing or mentioned during check in by the Property Management company Oceano. The result was 3 days of a dozen workers 50’ from our porch using the path directly in front of us and on the side of the unit as a construction road to haul materials to their work site which was directly next door 50’ away. The almost constant digging, backhoe motor, drilling pounding and constant chatter ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing laying in the sun, enjoying the porch getaway. We reported this to Oceano and they offer to move us,(after we had completely unpacked), but the other two units offered were not suitable. One unit just a few houses down had the same noise and activity problem, and the other was a two bedroom. With one queen bed and two twins. We rented three bedroom with two kings and two bunk beds. We required three bedrooms so the option they offered was not even close to suitable. The owners offered us $100 after we asked for a minimum 1 nights refund and Oceano offered nothing. After repeated emails with Oceano trying to appeal to their sense of decency and good customer service we gave up frustrated and angry. What a terrible experience mostly because of the attitude of the owner and Oceano. We are hoping VRBO will intercede and refund our money. Regards.

Excellent experience!

This property was fine & we enjoyed our stay. We loved having 3 bedrooms & 3 baths. We never watched tv, but there are tons of dvd movies there. Kitchen is well stocked with nice pots, pans & everything you might need for cooking. The place next door is under construction, so work would start at 7:30 am. Lots of hammering & loud music. We drove right by the property without seeing it, as there was a porta John & we just didn’t see it. The exterior lights, were not working on the stairs coming down, from where you park.

This is our new favorite!

I really do not want to leave such a glowing review - I’d rather keep this gem all to myself. Casa de Juega was perfect in every way. The ocean is literally outside the patio door. If you can bear to leave the patio you are about 20 steps from the water/tidepools. Honestly, the only complaint I can even muster is that there isn’t much storage in the kitchen because it’s so well appointed (fancy pans!). And bring paper towels! We loved this place and will absolutely return - hopefully soon!

Great house!

The house was very clean and organized and I appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was perfect and my son loved waking up and going down to the water. The internet didn't work most of the time which wasn't a big deal but would have been helpful when trying to look up directions or to throw on Netflix for the kids. Our one issue was that we would have liked to know ahead of time that the house doesn't have a heater. Our first night we attempted to run the heat but only it only blew out cold air. After having a technician out late at night (the rental company was very responsive and helpful) we found out that the house wasn't set up with heat. Thankfully we found some space heaters in a closet and were able to warm up the bedrooms but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time so we could have been prepared with extra layers for our kids. Overall we had a great stay and would return again.
