The pool was a lovely temperature and there was always something fun going on. We loved the swim up bar. I wish the staff enforced the rule about not holding the lounge chairs because they were usually all taken before 9am and people took off for hours so no one else could use the chairs. Also would like to see the pool a bit better maintained and cleaned.

I’ll start with the BEST: We were assigned a butler-not realizing you don’t have to have them if you don’t want-but for us, he did come in very handy. Jose was wonderful and often went above and beyond. Example-Our daughter was sick when we landed on his way into work he actually stopped at the pharmacy and grabbed Flonase for me. the LITTLE things!! The property is absolutely amazing. I can’t speak highly enough about all it had to offer. Pools, beaches, bars…There was something to entertain everyone!!! It was well kept. Nice beach with a little lagoon off to the side(perfect for calm waters) The staff is friendly and most work hard. Room was cleaned daily and even bed turned down most nights 💚. And we LOVE cats(not everyone does but I bet they like them more than they like Lizards mice and rats!) I do wish they’d put a donation box up and get the male cats neutered we would’ve left $100 to contribute to that but it was a great source of entertainment for my kids! The coffee shop is the BEST and those ladies have it down!! And burger bar decent Rooms need some real TLC especially bathrooms. And humidity in rooms had our clothes damp and smelly. And FYI watch the sales pitch people selling timeshare bs. Good excursions around Food was just ok! Buffet was best option and Sakura. Steakhouse needs to perfect cooking steak and Italian was terrible. Again best restaurant-coffee shop! Get rid of seed oil used to cook EVERYTHING-PERFECT the food and then it’s a 5

The room wasn't great at first but I mentioned everything that was wrong to our online concierge who immediately made contact when we checkin and it was all taken care of within an hour. Our online concierge Carlos Enrique Buayone was available at all times to assist in making dinner reservations, ideas to do around the area, or any questions we had, was quick to help. The property was easy to navigate and was clean. Food was good my favorite restaurant is Sakura and Margarita.

As an experienced traveler who often visits all-inclusive resorts, I found this property to be lacking in the five-star standards it claims to uphold. The food, entertainment, and accommodations are more in line with a three-star experience. There are noticeable areas in need of renovation, particularly due to outdated furniture and equipment. Dining late at the restaurant can lead to discovering that many dishes and fruits are unavailable, which indicates both quality and quantity issues. Even basic items, like English Breakfast tea bags, are often out of stock.   Moreover, the reception team was unhelpful, and the staff seemed overly dependent on tips, more so than is typical in the Dominican Republic. If you are considering booking this hotel, be wary of the persistent H10 group soliciting gifts, which can feel overwhelming.   Before my stay, I noted reviews discussing the differing treatment of regular guests versus premium members. I initially thought that regular guests would receive standard service while premium guests would receive extra care. However, my experience revealed a troubling reality: regular guests often receive subpar service, and the hotel pressures you to upgrade to premium status only to provide standard service, leading to significant dissatisfaction. In essence, the disparity in service quality makes this hotel less than ideal for all guests.

I had an incredible experience at Ocean El Faro in Punta Cana. The property is spotless, beautifully maintained, and genuinely feels like a luxury getaway. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and exactly what you’d expect from a top-tier resort. Every corner of the place was clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing from start to finish. The staff were consistently welcoming and helpful, but Reinaldo Sanchez deserves a special shoutout. He made the entire trip smoother by helping us with our bookings and keeping us updated on all the events happening around the resort. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The service and location were great, but there was a musty odor in the room that was also noticeable on the bed linens. I hope this issue can be resolved for future guests.

The loft room and rooftop was very nice! Carlos.B- our online concierge was very nice, quick with replies and very knowledgeable! He made the experience seamless! The beach was beautiful and the water was so clean! Overall, great time at ocean el faro!
