There was no one at the hotel in the morning so we needed to search for a place to store our luggage until we could check in. Our Room (No. 6) on the 3rd floor was very warm and the AC unit did NOT work, which we immediately reported. It was never repaired so we needed to sleep with the window access to the fire escape fully opened.
Changement de chambre dû à un problème technique . Petite chambre délabré au 4e sans ascenseur. Personnel sur place presque jamais sur place. Aucune empathie.. plus jamais cette hôtel
Looks nice outside, however dirty inside room and staircase. Will not return to that establishment.

Tiny room. Shower soap dispenser and hair dryer did not work. Walls need some fixing. However, the room was clean and quiet. Hotel well located in Old Quebec. Breakfast at a good neighbouring restaurant was included.
Close to most of the historical attractions and restaurants, all in walking distance. Room is very tiny, but if you only need a place to stay for the nights, thats good enough. There's no elevator and there are three floors. You need to carry your luggage upstairs. Checkin time is limited. Dont come before 2pm. It starts at 4 per email i received. I checked in at 4 :30. During my two nights stay, the second day, I saw a lady around 2 pm at the reception, but i am not sure if it is always a person at 2 pm. It is a good place to stay if you dont have too many demands. I parked at 7 Rue Pierre-Olivier-Chauveau for $20 per day. It is 24 hours parking. About 7 mins walk from the hotel. When you go in, insert your credit card and insert the same card before you leave and confirm the payment and you will get a receipt. It is clean and spacious. I am satisfied with this hotel.
Excellent location for a three night stay in Québec. Comfortable room with breakfast served in the Sagamite Restaurant next door. At one end of Rue St Louis is Château Frontenac, in the opposite direction you will reach the Citadel and Plains of Abraham
This hotel has a great location, right in Old Quebec. You can walk anywhere in Old Quebec. The hitel itself is older with no elevator, so if unable to do stairs, this is not the hotel for you. The picture of our room did not reflect our space, as it was mich smaller in person.
Alrhough the rooms were supposed to have coffee machines, ours did not. Machine was left at door with noncoffee on second day. Floor was very dirty. Light in windowless bathroom didnnot work and message sent to property owners remained unanswered. not. A message

The hotel was in an amazing location. The rooms were cute and full of charm. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning (it blew) and without screens on the windows - made for a buggy loud night. Also, one room had cups but no coffee maker while
The other had the reverse. As there was no onsite staff after our initial check in we could
Not ask for more towels or a coffee machine for the room without. Parking was really hard to find. When we did (about a 9 min walk from the hotel) the rates were reasonable and with it being so close to everything - the car stayed in the lot. A highlight was the complementary breakfast at the restaurant next door. It is indigenous run and owned and offers an amazing array of classic French and indigenous cuisine - I would Turn to this hotel just for access to this restaurant.

Good location
Good location but room is outdated. The shower curtain needs to be replaced as it has a moldy smell. Sink faucet is loose and the bed is too soft. There’s no house keeping. We stayed for 3 days and the trash was piling up.

Ac not working, very small and bed frame broken. Other than that location is amazing. You are paying for the location, not for the luxury of this place.
This hotel nicely captures the essence of "le Vieux Québec". Not only for its wonderful location, but also because of its style: very old interior, spiral staircase and overall humble appearance. My room was on the top floor, very small, no waste of room. One caveat: the hot water took a long time to come out of the shower!
Location and morning breakfast at restaurant next door EXCELLENT room first floor front so street noise registration desk and other guests at front door expected noise. Each room would be different. Nice to have two big windows on street bldg 72
C’était notre deuxième fois, et cette fois nous étions déçus: personne à l’accueil à notre arrivée (14 h), au départ à 11 h, personne également. Une chance que j’avais demandé le code d’accès pour la porte principale car la clef ne fonctionnait pas.

The location was great. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower (while small) had good pressure and temperature. Shampoo and soap provided. Windows and fresh air were great on the top floor facing the street. Clean. But basic. Access to service hours was difficult. The TV did not work. The fridge has not been cleaned. Unfortunately the free breakfast provided at restaurant next door was not good. One person working the entire floor and one cook. Took well over 1.5 hours to get food. The server was doing his best but overwhelmed. Otherwise a nice visit.

Close to everything in old Quebec. Restaurant for breakfast right next door. No elevator but we knew that in advance. Unfortunately the air conditioning in our room was not working and it was very hot and humid, and the tv didn’t work. After one night we were relocated to Hotel Louisbourg, their sister hotel just a couple of doors down as the Maison General did not have any other rooms. So glad our a/c wasn't working at General! Our new room was much nicer although more stairs than the other. Great a/c, beds, and washroom. Looked out over Rue Saint Louis. We would recommend Hotel Louisbourgh over Hotel Maison Du General. Thanks to Edwich, at the General, for trying to fix our air and tv.
