When I first opened the door there was a dead roach near the welcome mat. We had arrived late afternoon after 8 hour drive. The rest of us arrived about 10 pm. We had an early day planned leaving at 7:30 the next am for graduation at 9:00. Four adults who needed showers. NO HOT WATER anywhere in house. Another dead roach in kitchen. I began calling and texting host a little after 6:00 am leaving multiple messages and trying to reach by phone but only getting answering machine with Message Voicemail full. Had to contact VRBO support who tried unsuccessfully to reach host. They reached host and left deadline for resolution between 10-12 am. We were involved with graduation activities most of day but finally received message that should be there between 11:30-1:30. Then another message that tech had to find parts to fix. Message from host that issue was fixed approx 3:30-4. Arrived at 5:30 to change clothes for grad party at 6 and hot water was on. We arrived back about 11:00p to leave at 9:30 next am for long drive back. The property needs some TLC with sheets that were too big for beds and hard beds hard pillows that were way too full/high for comfortable sleeping. The bug problem made us uncomfortable to prepare food in kitchen. Glad to be back home.
