Niboban Cabin #5 - Blubeary Cabin is a charming and cozy retreat located right on the shores of Rangeley Lake in Rangeley, Maine. This delightful cabin features a screened porch perfect for enjoying the lake breeze, a fire pit for evening gatherings, and a hammock for relaxing in the serene surroundings. With WiFi to keep you connected and a dock for easy lake access, Blubeary Cabin is the perfect blend of comfort and nature for a peaceful getaway.

This cabin is located at historical Niboban. The original Niboban Camp was built sometime prior to 1915 and was at one time used as a farm. In the 1920s, it was once a girls camp. In the early 2000s, the original buildings at Niboban were torn down and new cabins and a lodge were built. Guests have access to the main lodge which offers ping pong, games, books, puzzles, and movies on DVD with a TV and DVD player.

There is a shared swimming cove and a swim float, with one of the few sandy beaches on Rangeley Lake. Rangeley Village and downtown Oquossoc are just 7 miles away in opposite directions. Niboban has a connector trail to ITS84, so guests may enjoy snowmobiling directly from their cabins - to nearly 150 miles of groomed trails, with connections to New Hampshire and Canada. Cross Country Skiing and mountain bike trails are available nearby at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center. There are public tennis courts in both downtown Rangeley and downtown Oquossoc. Close to Saddleback Mountain!

Niboban Cabin #5 - Birch Chase

Our stay at the Niboban Cabin #5 - Birch Chase was fantastic. We loved this spot and it was very well organized and delivered. It had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the ambiance was perfect! We are already looking to make plans to come back next year. If you are looking for a place to get away with family or spouse, we highly recommend this spot!

Modern Cabin - Beautiful Lake Views

Beautiful spot on the south shore of Rangeley Lake! Modern cabin with very comfy furniture, great three-season porch and wonderful grounds. Includes dock and fire pit to enjoy sunsets and stargazing. Loved exploring the lake in the two kayaks provided - to the west is all undeveloped land, including Rangeley State park. Great base for many wonderful hikes as well.

I can't say enough nice things about Niboban Cabin #5. Clean, cozy, convenient. Small enough to be quaint but still large enough that four adults weren't bumping into one another. We cooked several meals and all the utensils/pans we needed were available and easy to find. The weather was gorgeous and the setting truly magical. We'll be back

Good cabin but a few items need work

Great cabin and location. When we got there, a gentleman had to leave off a contraption for WiFi. The heater did not work, so the second of our 3 nights two girls came by to assist and the get rolled out a portable heater that worked! We did not need a TV, but was inoperable.

Perfect spot on the lake but unexpectedly noisy

Perfect location on Rangeley! Cottage was well kept and cosy. Grounds were well-kept and kayaks/paddle board were just what we needed during our stay. HOWEVER, it is not published online to expect construction noise from sun up to 4ish from nearby camps... back hoes, nail guns, etc... Could even hear this down at the lake. Very disappointed that we were not given a heads up and even a small discount offered for this inconvenience. Otherwise a positive experience.

Wonderful time!

We just returned from a short trip to Rangeley from York Co. Rangeley is our “home away from home,” and Morton and Furbish are our “go to” rental agency every time! As always, Bluebeary was immaculate when we arrived (as all their rentals are) and we had plenty of updated local recommendations to continue learning about all that the area and beyond has to offer! Bluebeary is a very comfortable and well- equipped cabin. The primary bedroom has a fantastic mattress, and a spot to put in a kayak or canoe is right next to the cabin. The shared dock and fire pit are also directly below the cabin, and you can't beat the view! Small beach access is just steps away for those with little ones. Easy to get to towns of Rangely and Oquossoc from Niboban as well. Highly recommended this spot, even though construction is underway as Niboban expands. We miss the lake already!

Lovely Spot and Cabin; Beds Ruined the Experience

The view is lovely; the outdoor seating areas welcoming with both sun and shade possible any time of day. The cabin is amazingly clean. The 3-season porch offers respite from sun and bugs--very nice reading and napping and relaxing spot. But the beds are terrible and undercut all else. The mattresses and foam layers need to be replaced--even when foam removed, mattresses too worn with hollows and deep holes. Terrible sleep ruins the overall experience.
