We had a wonderful time, and the house and available amenities were a big part of that. We made use of the fire pit, the kitchen and cookware and bakeware, and the garage. 1-1/2 baths were just enough for the three of us. We found the beds comfortable, and the blankets helped ensure a warm night’s sleep. This rental was exactly what we had hoped for.

The interior of the house was nicely decorated. The exterior needed some work in a few places. There needs to be more lights at night for the front and back yard. The solar lights weren’t working. Some string lights in the back yard would be super cute. The fire pit was nice and it was fun to see the deer walk through the yard. The location, for me, was a little further into the city than I had hoped and didn’t realize it was in a neighborhood. The kitchen was functional, but could use more options for cooking. I’m glad I brought my own detergent as I thought some would be provided. The towels smelled slightly musty and the house had an odd odor to it. The seats would be great for younger families visiting. My dad is older and had a hard time getting off the couch. The back of the house stayed a little colder than the front of the house. The host was quick to respond and adjust my dates as needed, this is a big plus for me.

As always, Dee offers a lovely home in a wonderful location! Quiet neighborhood convienent to walking and playing and strolling down to the lake! The beds are comfortable, the living areas are very comfy and welcoming! The highlight is the backyard with your own private fire pit!! We LOVE this house and consider it a home away from home. Dee is an excellent communicator and so nice to work with!!!

Check in process was smooth. I wasn’t overly impressed with the smell inside the house. There was an extensive amount of wasps on the front porch which might have been just the time of year. The pictures are as it looks but the home is actually a trailer house not an actual house if that matters to anyone. The thing I was rather unimpressed with was the cleanliness of the home. The dishes still had food on them and there’s no wash rags or dish towels provided here. We were only provided with paper towels and 3 dishwashing pods. We had to go to Walmart to buy our own dish towels to clean dishes and counter tops. For being expected to clean the home and put all dishes away, it would’ve been helpful to have more cleaning supplies to do so. And maybe check the dishes before having another guest. We also found a make up brush on one of the beds which was kinda gross. Otherwise, the owner was responsive when asked about kitchen towels. The location is pretty great to visit surrounding areas.

Great hosts, location, and very spacious!We picked this house because of its convenience to Mount Rushmore, a lake with a park, restaurants, and shopping. This place really delivers with enough space for 3 couples or a family of 4! It's peaceful too. I can't think of one reason you shouldn't book your stay here.

Summertime Visit with Family

This continues to be a favorite VRBO home for our family when we come to town. The home is in a wonderful location, with the lake within walking distance for so much fun! The home itself is very clean, well decorated, comfy beds and bedding, great cooking supplies, a wonderful back yard with firepit, and just overall wonderful. I am very particular about our VRBO rentals, so know that this is a GREAT PLACE to stay!! Dee is wonderful to work with, and she has even thought of details such as smores roasting sticks and paper to get a good fire going! SUPER location!!!

Great place to stay except for cleanliness

Nice little house in a quiet neighborhood. Only issue was cleanliness. One area of the house smelled like cigarette smoke, and there was a lot of hair on the floor/rugs. Owner apologized but didn’t offer anything to make it right.
