COZY LAKE COTTAGE/CASITA in a quaint country setting

Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and paddle boarding in the three connecting lakes: Carpenter, Long (all sports ), and Hemlock (all sports). Lake hop from the nearby public boat launch ramps - so many to choose from. Breath in all the natural fresh air that surrounds you in this tranquil private country setting. Catch a glimpse of Amish commuting to and from on horse and buggy. Enjoy the convenience of the two party and bait stores that are within walking distance. Take a short 10 minute drive and explore the many antique shops in the town of Allen, the antique capital of Michigan. Explore the town of Hillsdale’s Saturday morning live auction, flea market and farmers’ market. Paruse the town of Coldwater, MI which has many shops and eateries. So much more to do in the surrounding area and not far from Pokagon State Park in Anglola, IN with many walking trails, horseback riding, fishing, boating, beach, etc... Or just kick back and relax on the deck and watch the magnificent sunset over the lake. At night, there is an abundance of stars to gaze at while you sit around the firepit roasting hotdogs and/or marshmallows. There is a little bit of heaven here for everyone! The location was good for our tour of Hillsdale College. Hadn't been to Michigan before and the countryside is beautiful. I wish the trip could have been later in the Fall when the colors come out because that would be awesome. Very nice place to get away and relax.

very hot weather while we were there and the AC worked awesome! outside area was cool and looked fun but too hot out to enjoy it. the lake is a 50 yard walk and very awesome. we had fun.

Great Weekend

This is the second time this summer we've stayed at this property! We highly recommend it. It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The owner is great to work with and was very accommodating to our needs and questions. We look forward to coming back a third time.

Charming by the Lake

This is an awesome property! We needed a place to stay while we helped our elderly parents with the US 12 garage sale. The owner was very responsive with our questions. It was nice to come back to such a comfortable place after working all day. The beds were the most comfortable beds we've had at a rental property. We were hoping to extend our stay, but unfortunately for us, it was already rented. We will definitely be back!

Clean & relaxing

If your looking for a home away from home to relax & get away this was nice. Loved taking our dogs (we consider family) it has a nice fenced yard easy to let them out especially while loading & unloading car. Would definitely stay ahaing. Family gAmes & water activities if u decide to go to the water. Nice having carryout walking distance with pizza & subs to if u didnt bring food. Thank you eve!!

Great location with fun water options

We typically stay at a nearby rental that is closer to where my parents summer. Fortunately, that was booked. So, we stayed here. We were happy to be given clear instructions and find everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. From firewood, to cooking tools and bathroom amenities to kayaks, thoughtfulness was clearly put into every aspect of this rental. Because of the heaviness of the rain, the property manager had to come on site and would have been unnoticed, apart from his kind heads up. Because of the one-level access compared to where we generally stay, this may become our once or twice annual resting place. Look no further. Book here if the size suits your needs!

A place to enjoy while my college student was packing up her dorm room

This was a lovely little cottage stocked with everything you need to enjoy a peaceful lake vacation. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Appliances worked beautifully and just about every need was anticipated. I was a bit concerned the first day about parking on the wood chips on the lawn, but it rained A LOT during our stay and driving across the indicated lawn was never a problem. The instructions were clear and helpful. The front yard, between the house and the lake did get waterlogged , but if you are already wearing water shoes and heading for the lake, that's not a problem. We enjoyed to kayak and paddle boards and encountered many friendly people out on the water.. I definitely plan to book this place again. Close enough to town, yet far enough away to be restful.
