carpets in the hall ways were filthy

It was okay for a couple of hours, I was in Oxfordshire filming, I arrived late, the receptionist was okay, room was small and contained, VERY hot in the room, luckily it had a fan. I was back up and on my way at 6:00am, No breakfast provided but coffee and tea was available in my room.

I can’t express how disappointed I am with this booking, whilst trying to check in the receptionist couldn’t find our booking, so had to get a senior member to come and check, upon checking Sebastian confirmed no booking through Expedia even though we had receipts. This hotel was also paid upfront. He was aggressive and shouting how it’s our problem that this was booked via a third party and not direct with the hotel and said we would need to pay again. It was the middle of the night 3 young woman by themselves being shouted at by a senior member of staff, after contacting Expedia who were extremely helpful, they tried to ring the hotel twice but Sebastian would not take the call. After a huge fuss he then decided we could have our room that we paid for in the end. The room was GROTTY. We found a huge spider and whilst moving the bedding bugs crawled out. Needless to say we would never return to this hotel even if we were paid to. Stay clear

Self-contained economic accommodation.

Perfectly adequate for our needs. We especially needed to be able to prepare a few of our meals. The kitchenette arrangement was perfect for that. Our beds were comfortable. The en-suite was adequate. We asked for a room clean as we had to extend our stay. This was forgotten but was completed the following day. Reception staff were helpful. Parking was easy. The hospital and university are close by. This was refurbished student study accommodation and provided a self contained economic option for us.

The room I was originally in 810 was some distance away from the main building, I was in a top room that had rotten wooden windows and a gap between the wood and the glass. There was a musty smell and was in need of decorating and a fresh up. The second room 214 in the main building was ok, very small but as it was only for 1 night it did the job. Had to go back to receiption as key card did not work the first time. "Bar meals" consisted of chilli con carne or a choice of 6 different curries. Two gents on reception where helpful and friendly when I asked to move room. Would not stay there again.
