Tiny dragonfly house was6 as expected.

The photos need to be updated, lots of overgrowth and rot, and the listing needs to be plain that the host is on site...this is my first (of many stays) stay with the host meters away from my lodging...it should be clear that you share the ourdoor space with the host...access to the space is not the same as sharing. Tom was a great host upon arrrival but we did not receive our lock box code for 2 hours past check in due to an error on his part with a mistake of Nikki and Nicole and wrong dates and booking site. The added air conditioner did not help with the heat until about 2am. Good effort on his behalf. I enjoyed the space but the listing is very outdated

BTW - Host is “John” not “Tom” (everyone is entitled to make mistakes).
As I explained, I have been dealing with post-operative medications and was confused (honest mistake for which I apologized and corrected immediately - not 2 hours after but minutes after you arrived). Yes, it is overgrown in spots from my being ill and not getting help to clear but didn’t obstruct any use of outside kitchen or space to enjoy. I think we spoke for a total of 5 minutes and the rest of your stay, I was busy inside catching up on work. Sorry if you felt impinged upon by my being next door (about same distance as neighbouring house). In any event, mistakes were made and corrected immediately (not two hours later) and I try my best but sometimes this just isn’t enough. Thanks for your stay and hope you and your family keep well. The directions were hard to follow, I don’t have GPS; just give directions from Center street
The pullout couch was comfortable for me, maybe not so much for a tall couple; could invest in a duvet?

John was a very attentive, yet non intrusive and discreet host. He keeps the property very clean, in impeccable order and gives a lot of attention to detail. We would definately recommend.

Publié le 25 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWe can’t say enough good things about our stay. Communication with John was fast and pleasant right from beginning. He was very hospitable and always asked if we had any questions during our emails. The Dragonfly is situated in a quiet area which has shade and sun if desired. The tiny house was immaculate and has everything you can think of… so much detail and thought was put into this little paradise! It feels very spacious with the big windows all around sitting area.. John greeted us immediately and was there to help with anything we needed. I loved that he had the fire going for us at supper without us even asking. He kept to himself but was a welcome joiner around fire when asked. Very friendly, personable man who we look forward to seeing at our next stay. He even baked us delicious buns , brought out to the fire the next day with jams and marmalades. I personally loved the fuzzy blankets, comfy pillows, the cute little treehouse room to rest and read in during the day( great for kids!), deer that waltzed through, cleanliness of the house and how quiet it was.
Highly recommend and we can’t wait till next year! Booked already!

This little gem was unique and quite quaint .Very peaceful 😊

We will be installing an air conditioner this Fall to take care of the "extreme heat" we experienced this summer. The smallest unit cools a 600 sq ft area, so will be overkill for the 120 sq ft tiny house. Thank you for the review and comments.

Tiny house updates
Publié le 21 août 2021 sur HomeAwayOur stay was quite nice. Just a few things missing unfortunately. We could have used more than one dish towel, especially after the fridge freezer leaked out onto the floor for 2 days. There was no dish cloth either. Definitely could use some cooking utensils, more pots & pans, a baking sheet or disposable ones for the bbq. The bbq needed cleaning as it had major grease fires every time we tried to bbq something. With these few add-ons, we would definitely enjoy another weekend here again!

Hi Leslie,
I provided more dish towels and if you needed more, all you had to do was ask. You did not make me aware of the bbq flare ups, as most overheat using a new bbq. I clean the bbq every time it is used, so don’t agree with your claiming it was dirty. There is a lot of utensils for the kitchen and again, if guests need anything they should have asked. Thanks for taking the time to leave the feedback.
