We had the BEST time! We had age ranges from 45 to 5 years old and everybody loved every second. The kitchen was fully equipped for breakfast lunch and dinner. Oh wait thereâs also an awesome covered outdoor fire place and a hot tub plus acres of exploring. We will be back 100% thank you!
We had a beautiful time at this home that has so much to offer including an idyllic meadow and trail by the river, comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen, and ping-pong table.
The home, property, and environs exceeded expectations. We met up from across the country for a mini-family reunion, and the stay checked every box weâd anticipated and some unexpected, magical ones as well. Thereâs nothing like witnessing spring unfolding in the Mt. Hood area, and this place helped us make lasting memories close the heart of each generation present. Thank you for the thoughtful details throughout and for letting us share this beautiful place!
We really enjoyed our stay at Big Buck Lodge. This is the prefect place for a weekend getaway where you have plenty of space on a beautfiul property. The house was clean and the accomodations were nice making the weekend very enjoyable. I would recommend a stay here for a ski weekend or in the summer a place to get out and explore Mt. Hood which is right in your backyard. It seems like there is so much to do in this area and it is nice to have a lodge like this as your homebase surrounded by the mountains, nearby river and woods. Also, very quiet area so a great place to getaway and relax. We will definitely be heading back the next time we are looking for a long weekend stay in this area.
We had an amazing stay at Big Buck Lodge!
The home and location was ideal for our family.. the home was welcoming and cozy; the property was serene and the ease of location to the many of Mt Hoods trails, restaurants, shopping, etc!
We hope to return to Big Buck Lodge during the winter months!
Wonderful place all around. Well cared for and excellent service from management company. The stereo that is listed is not accessible so recommend bringing a bluetooth speaker or check with management. They ended up driving out a couple small bluetooth speakers to make it right. Highly recommend this place.
Our family and dog enjoyed a nice winter weekend at this gorgeous and comfortable property. The sandy river is essentially in the backyard and there is a beautiful trail running along the river that is accessible from the back yard. We hope to come back soon.
We searched a LONG time for the right place for our anniversary trip to the Mt Hood area. We loved the way the house looked online, and we were excited to experience it. From the check in day onward though, it just wasn't what we expected for the cost. The keys weren't left as we were told they would be. When we left messages hoping to hear back immediately, it took over an hour and a half to hear anything. We had gone to get dinner 5 minutes away, and had HOPED the company would bring us the keys. Instead, we had to backtrack to get them after dinner. We arrived to house, and the gate wasn't open. We had to climb around gate to get into house to use WiFi to call (as there was no cell service). At first, we thought we had wrong keys, as the keys didn't work at front door. Wish there had been explanation keys are for garage door, not front door. Someone did come open gate, which was appreciated. FYI - fan in master bedroom grinds when on and is useless (we are fan people so disappointed there too!). I think this place could have been so much better if it had felt like it was WORTH the added cost I spent. In future, I will question the need to spend more when it didn't get us anything but frustration.
Highly recommend this beautiful home. The kitchen is well appointed with basic herbs and spices and great pots and pans for cooking. The outdoor gazebo is a plus for hanging out with friends. Canât wait to come back.
Super house and property for a quiet getaway with the family. Fantastic view and hiking trail right in the backyard. Complete with everything you need. We will definitely come back.
Great property that seemed to have all the things you would want and need for a family trip. Kitchen stocked with extensive amount of tools to prepare any meal and all were brand name. House has space for everyone to have personal space as well as group seating for meals and games. Lots of options for hiking on the. Great location where you are completely secluded and only 10 minute away from grocery store and coffee shop.
We celebrated my sisters 40th birthday with a relaxing girls weekend here. It was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed many hours at the outside fireplace talking and relaxing. The house was very clean, and cozy! We are looking forward to coming back as soon as we can!! Thank you! :)
We so enjoyed our stay at Big Buck Lodge for spring break this year! It was our family's first trip to the area, and we couldn't have picked a better home as our base. The area is so serene and our two dogs loved the ability to wander with us around outside in the expansive rear acreage or sun themselves on the large concrete patio. The kids had a fabulous time playing ping pong, tabletop shuffleboard and corn hole as well as enjoying the well stocked game closet. The kitchen was very nicely appointed with everything we needed to make delicious meals to enjoy together. My personal favorite spot was the outdoor fireplace where we were able to play charades and make s'mores on our final evening of the stay. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space with us! We will certainly be back!
The house is absolutely gorgeous inside and out! Perfectly accommodates 3 families with children. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfy, the hot tub and the outdoor fireplace are a great bonus. Itâs a bit of a drive from the ski area but the property is worth it. A couple of great restaurants within 10 minutes!
We would definitely stay here again. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The only disappointment was that even though the listing says that snowshoes are provided, there were none to be found.
