Magnifique vue

Nous avions choisi l'appartement pour la vue et nous n'avons pas Ă©tĂ© déçus ! Concernant l'appartement, il a un gros potentiel mais trĂšs humide et vieillot, il mĂ©rite une rĂ©novation. Cela ne nous a pas empĂȘchĂ© de passer un bon sĂ©jour

Venus passer noel aux Acores, nous avons apprécié ce vaste appartement bien équipé. Vue imprenable sur une mer démontée. Emplacement parfait pour visiter l'ile. On recommande.

L'océan pour unique vue!

Niché au coeur d'un petit village typique de l'ßle, l'appartement de Luis est un petit havre de paix. La terrasse donne directement sur la plage et face à l'océan, le bruit des vagues nous a bercé durant tout notre séjour. L'accÚs privatif à la plage est idéal et la douche extérieure bien pratique ! La piÚce de vie est trÚs lumineuse et trÚs agréable avec sa grande banquette idéale pour les siestes. L'équipement et la déco de l'appartement sont basiques mais suffisant pour des vacances. Luis a été trÚs agréable aussi bien dans ses messages avant le séjour que lors de la remise des clés. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le positionnement central de l'appartement sur l'ile de Sao Miguel, toutes les choses à voir sont à 1h de voiture maxi.

Perfect Spot on Sao Miguel

This apartment was exactly as pictured and represented. It's located in a quiet area - Ponto Formoso - a short 20-25 minute drive from the airport and 5-10 minutes from the bigger town of Ribiera Grande. The view from the apartment is the best. We loved eating every meal on the balcony and ending our days laying out on the beach and going for a swim. There are two life guard towers and snack bar style restaurant on the beach. If you want to surf, head up to the bigger Santa Barbara beach where the waves are perfect for surfing. The furnishings in the apartment are simple, but what more do you need in a beach rental? The parking lot up the hill from the apartment has plenty of spots. Both the owner and property manager are responsive to questions. Two pieces of advice for those staying here: (1) Stop at Pingo-Doce grocery store on your way from the airport to the apartment. It's located on the way, in Ribiera Grande. We didn't know about it until later in the trip and the store closer to Porto Formoso (Spar) is very small/not well-stocked. Pingo-Doce is excellent. (2) You must eat at the restaurant up the street from the apartment - Mare Cheia. Best food and preparation we ate on the island. We went twice. I wish I could replicate how they perfectly grill the fresh fish catches of the day. If we get the chance to go back to Sao Miguel, we would stay here again and for longer!

Quiet getaway with friends

The apartment is in a great spot with an amazing view of the ocean, we enjoy all our breakfasts on the balcony. Kitchen is stocked with everything needed to do some cooking (grocery stores are a short drive away). There is street parking right next to the apartment, however, it can get pretty busy on the weekends. Luis, the property owner, was always very quick to respond when we had any questions. Our flight got delayed and got in very late, we ended up getting to the apartment around midnight and had trouble unlocking the door, but Luis responded to my message within minutes even that late at night. As mentioned in previous reviwes, the apartment could use a little bit of updating, but it did not impact our stay in any way. The beach is absolutley beautiful and gets cleaned daily.

Highly recommended!

Quiet, beautiful ĂĄrea, with a great restaurant two doors from our place. In the north centre of the island, so easy to move around. Right on the very beach, amazing views, comfortable and spacious house. By far the best equipped kitchen we have enjoyed in a rented property. Courtesy wine and cake!

Incredible Location

The property is directly on Praia dos Moinhos, a wonderful beach on Sao Miguel's north shore. It is quiet, absolutely beautiful at night, and possibly the best location of any place we have ever stayed at. The unit itself is plain, devoid of decoration or fancy things, but this was never an issue, since the location is so nice. The main room, as one enters, is a living room, dining area, and (the best part of the unit) the patio overlooking the beach. Downstairs are the two bedrooms and bath area. Kitchen has necessary appliances. Living room is quite nice-large and comfortable, and the patio has a table and several chairs. The master bedroom is large, bed is comfortable. We did not use the second and smaller bedroom, so cannot comment. Bath is fine and has a small shower area with great water pressure. Praia dos Moinhos is a wonderful beach. Nice sand, lovely cliffs on either side. There is a very good restaurant two or three doors up the street. Although street parking was available directly in front of the unit, we chose to parking in the free lot about a block away in order to keep the car out of harm's way. Hiking trails are available within a very short walking distance which allow for short hikes to the waterfall, or longer hikes which take you up to the bluffs overlooking the beach area and they are just idyllic. Communication was a bit difficult, but certainly worth the effort to go to sleep with the waves crashing and to wake up to breakfast on the patio.

Position and view is excellent. Communication was a little confusing since 4 different people from the house were involved. When it was finally clear who was doing the check-in, the check-in itself was really good, since the keys were delivered to us to the airport after our arrival, so we don't had to drive to the house immediately after our arrival.

Praia Moinhos

This apartment is in an idyllic location. It overlooks a beach that is between two dramatic headlands. There is a small cafe/bar on the beach—nice for a late afternoon drink. It is on a very narrow street with a restaurant a few steps away. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. One warning: if you go out on the balcony and close the door, you will be locked out. It happened to us. Take your phone with you with the owners number, just in case.

Eine schöne Ferienwohnung direkt am Strand und Meer. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er antwortet zĂŒgig. Die Wohnung sollte allerdings renoviert werden. Die Insel ist allerdings fantastisch und lĂ€sst keine WĂŒnsche offen.

Wohnung mit traumhaften Blick auf Praia Moinhos

Zu allererst: Luis ist ein zuverlĂ€ssiger Vermieter und sehr bemĂŒht, seinen GĂ€sten einen wunderschönen Urlaub zu ermöglichen. Er antwortet schnell, hat uns persönlich begrĂŒĂŸt (auch wenn es schon sehr spĂ€t war) und sofort reagiert, als es darum ging, defekte GerĂ€te zu ersetzen. Die Wohnung liegt an einem wunderschönen und gepflegten Strand. Nebenan gibt es eine Strandbar: Die Cheeseburger können wir nur empfehlen. Die Umgebung lĂ€dt zum Wandern ein und der Standort ist perfekt, um die Insel mit einem Mietwagen zu erkunden. Unser Tipp: Die Wetterlage Ă€ndert sich oft schnell. Wer "Spot Azoren" in die Suchmaschine eingibt, bekommt eine Seite mit Webcams fĂŒr die Hotspots auf der Insel und den tĂ€glichen Wetter-Check. Die Wohnung selbst ist gerĂ€umig, mit einem traumhaften Blick ĂŒber den Strand. Sie ist allerdings in die Jahre gekommen und brĂ€uchte eine grĂŒndliche Renovierung.

Great location and perfect for our vacation

We would definitely recommend this property to a family. Some reviews stated it was “rustic” and could use an upgrade on linens. I will agree that the linens are a bit dated but had little to no bearing on our stay. Luis was not able to be there at check in but made arrangements for us to obtain the keys and was in constant text communication with us ensuring our stay was positive. The location was amazing. The people were friendly and accommodating. It was close proximity to attractions and restaurants/groceries. The cuisine and culture was extremely fulfilling. We spoke with Luis and indicated we’d like to return in the future. My family has fallen in love with this island and the area. Luis has a great spot that provides bedrooms downstairs which are separate from the dining and living area. There is a set of stairs walking right to the beach and a shower outside the door to clean the sand prior to entering. Our 12 year olds were able to play on the beach while we were watching them from the balcony. Epic views and perfect morning coffee location. I would highly recommend this location, especially for the price point. Thank you Luis. We look forward to booking again in the future.
