I have booked holidays with Expedia for over a decade and have always found the staff courteous and helpful. This hotel was petty and my check in was awful. Whenever I book a hotel, I tick pool. This is important to me as I swim at home daily. In the Radisson Blu list it stated pool. Because it stated “pool” I understood this to include a pool as with every hotel I’ve ever stayed in which stated “pool”. But oh no, not this hotel. The pool was €25 per session. I was told this was because it included the Spa. But on the amenities section, The Spa was listed separately. I only wanted to use the pool. Eventually I was given a one session pass, which I used today. The Spa included a sauna, steam room and pool for the astounding price of €25 for up to 2.5hours. Plus only VIP guests qualified for towelling robes. So guess what? I wasn’t a VIP guest so I dripped and was very cold in the lift to the changing rooms one floor above. Finally, there were 2 bottles of complimentary water in my room. On the second day I phoned down to ask for more. You guessed it - no more complimentary water. I have never stayed in any star hotel where water was rationed. My past hotels included a guest house in Chitwain , Nepal where a crate of bottled water was left out each day, a 2* inn in Wells - two bottles every day. I’ve just checked and this is listed as a 4* hotel. Well sorry Radisson Blu, Latvia, and elsewhere in the world, you are not on my list again.
