It seemed to be a remodeled older property.The breakfast options were ok, but not great. No hot items, just donuts, yogurt. Cereal, Oatmeal etc.

Lower priced — you get what you pay for

This hotel is in a good location. Accommodations are serviceable. Staff was polite. Breakfast was minimalist and no healthy options. The temperature control was difficult. It was 63 degrees when we woke up and it took a long time to warm up.

Clean Rooms and Friendly Staff

The rooms were very clean and replenished on a daily basis. The staff is very friendly and approachable. The only issue was the AC hadn't been turned on for the Spring and Summer season. The weather was very nice, approximately upper 60s and low 70s, and the room was a very toasty 77° towards the end of the day. The hotel did provide a box fan for our room that provided a little cooling.

We were very pleased with our stays here at Aspen Select. Staff has been very welcoming with our coming and going, Very quiet, comfortable beds and bath linens well stocked for 3 people. This hotel has an amazing history shared with guests in the breakfast area. We will return when in Rochester.

The beds were extremely comfortable. Some of the best hotel beds I have encountered and as someone with excruciating back/hip pain this was a major plus. There was even a chair with a slight recline and foot stool which helped to not lay in bed the whole time we were in the room. The staff were prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. They provided a few wheelchairs to use to and from parking lots/rooms which was very helpful for me and unexpected. The parking was easy to understand but if you don’t have handicap privileges or a compact car, you may find yourself parking a bit farther in the overflow. It’s very conveniently located near the Mayo Clinic. The breakfast left something to be desired but it was fine for grab and go. We enjoyed the coffee. Their vending machines were well stocked with snacks and they did have a few items available for sale at the front desk. Also we were close to some good restaurants. My one complaint that I was very disappointed with were the grab bars in the bathroom. There were 2 located “near” the toilet. One above the toilet paper and one to the left of the door. They were both placed so far from the toilet that they were completely unusable, and I am a 5’10” female. A woman of more average height would not stand a chance. Again, I experience excruciating back and hip pain. I (very frustratingly) had to have my traveling partner help me off the toilet every time. If these amenities had been functional, this would be a 5 star review.

No temp. control. No exterior windows just windows into the hallway so you feel like a zoo animal. Dirty bathroom (hair, stains, things falling apart). Rude front desk staff, all deciding to take their smoke breaks together within viewing of the front desk. Drips in lobby. Outdated. Unhelpful replies from owners in reviews.
