The property was clean and as shown in the listing. There was a broken chair on the deck and the smoke alarm beeped the entire time we were there. The worst part of the space was the bedroom window which had a bright fire light right outside it in the outside hallway. The bedroom was way too bright to be able to get to sleep let alone have a good nights sleep. We had to sleep in the chairs and hideabed in the living room. I would suggest getting room dsrjwning curtains on that window!!

Great get away location

It was a nice location and a cute little place. It isn’t anything super fancy but was nice for my get away. Wouldn’t recommend more than two people as it is a cute little place. Loved looking out the window and seeing the ocean. Would recommend and would love to go again!

Perfect beach getaway!

The beach view was so perfect!! Exactly what we were looking for, for an affordable price! The unit we were in ended up having all utensils and everything needed to cook meals. They also provided extra pillows and blankets which was nice and handy!The pull out bed in the living room was new and in great condition (and all of which seemed very clean)! It was also nice because they provided beach chairs and sand buckets to play in the sand (perfect if you have kids as well)! The overall cleanliness upon arrival needed some vacuuming and the counters wiped down, but there was a vacuum and some cleaner so it was an easy fix! We felt rushed out by the Vacasa cleaner at the end of the stay which we didn’t appreciate. Other than that they were very quick to respond when we had questions via text message. Thanks for a great weekend Rock Creek Inn!!

Location, view, oceanfront, what's not to like!

Having come from the heart of Orange County while avoiding the scorching heat and crowds this place was just a slice of paradise. The furnishings were clean, simple but more than adequate and comfortable. The ocean view accompanied by the kite festival was just perfect The shops and restaurants were just gearing up for the summer holidays. We entered half baked and mildly stressed and left chilled and completely relaxed. I know nowhere else we could have gone and accomplished that it only 3 days.

Relaxing Stay

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the condo. We enjoyed watching and listening to the ocean from our balcony on the 2nd floor. The view was spectacular! Access to the beach was a short walk. Our only suggestion would be providing a bench or stool in the entry area to take off and put on shoes. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice stay

The outside of the apartment complex is being worked on so is a bit shabby but the apartment itself is great: very clean and reasonably well equipped. It's a great location and somewhat more affordable that a lot of places; this made it possible for us.

 not impressed! Walls are thin, you can hear the neighbours. Poor beach access, even though it is on the water. Updating is needed.. kitchen utensils are getting tacky!

Nice place by the ocean - photos are accurate!

Great location at a reasonable price. You really are right along the beach, and you would land on sand if you jumped down from your balcony. But instead, I recommend using the beach access, which is a 3-minute walk from your door towards the train station. (train does not run that often and only during the day). There are multiple heaters built in to the unit, and it's nice to sit by the "fireplace" at the end of a day of hiking. Walls are pretty thin, but generally the people staying around us in shoulder season were quiet. Plenty of towels for two people, also plenty of beach towels. There were also two beach chairs. Appliance/utensil-wise, the kitchen was well-appointed but lacked even basic kitchen consumables, such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, plastic wrap, or aluminum foil. There is minimal storage space for clothes. Tile floors could have been cleaned better. Management was responsive and offered to send someone in to clean up better, but we didn't take them up on that because we came prepared with slippers and didn't want to have someone coming in during our brief stay. On that note, a place to put your shoes, maybe an over-the-door rack in the entryway closet, would have been helpful, especially since one of the house rules is to leave shoes near the door.

Perfect beach getaway!

Stayed 4 nights at this perfect getaway and going to sleep with the sounds of the ocean was exactly what we were looking for. The unit was clean, comfortable, and the owners had plenty of towels, blankets, dishes, cookware, etc. which was great for us since we spent the majority of our time in the area in the unit relaxing and watching/listening to the ocean.

Restful fun

We stayed two nights and enjoyed the location, especially the close view of the ocean but also easy walking distance to the beach, groceries, restaurants, shops, and the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad with steam train excursions to Garabaldi. The property was as we expected from the listing description and photos; it was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and a pleasant environment from which to enjoy the beautiful view of the beach, ocean waves, and the activities of people enjoying them below us.

Winter in Rockaway

We had a nice stay. The view is great! The place was super clean when we got there, with nice sheets and towels. The bed was very comfortable as well. The biggest negative is there were a lot of lightbulbs out, so the place was pretty dark. I didn't receive any checkout instructions other than time, so I did what I usually do when staying at a VRBO. The location is very convenient for shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, nothing in Rockaway was open in early December midweek even if their signage and websites stated otherwise.
