Location & Transport:

Our farm is ideally located halfway between Swords and Ashbourne, making it the perfect spot to explore Ireland’s Ancient East, with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Dublin City, as well as the nearby coastal towns and beaches.

Conveniently located just 12 minute drive from Dublin Airport and 25 minutes from Dublin Port.

As we are in the countryside, public transport is available but somewhat limited. Our village is serviced by the 41B Dublin Bus and the 197 TFI Bus. The bus stops are very short walks from our home.

Just a short stroll from our home, you’ll find the beautiful St. Brigid’s Church, constructed in the 1850s — a charming piece of local history.

For those looking to experience traditional Irish culture, you’re in luck! There are several traditional Irish pubs nearby where you can enjoy a real pint of Irish Guinness.

Nearby, Kettle’s Country House offers a cozy pub and restaurant (though not located in the village centre) that serves an excellent Sunday Roast. As this our local, If you’d like to visit, we’d be happy to drop you there and collect you at no extra charge. If you want to venture further afield, we can arrange transport at an additional cost.

For cultural enthusiasts, the TSEAC Arts Centre hosts traditional Irish music and performances. It's somewhat of a hidden gem in the locality, and has a wonderful cafe. Also, visit the nearby church to admire the stunning stained-glass windows created by world-renowned Irish artist Harry Clarke. A peaceful country walk along the church road will let you soak in the beauty of the area.

There are frequent concerts and gigs held at Swords and Malahide Castles. Let us know if you're interested, and we’ll gladly drop you off and collect you after the event.

Our farm is also located next to the picturesque old stone-cut bridge that crosses the Broadmeadow River, where you can often spot families of ducks and swans swimming by.

During your stay:
While this is a family home, we completely understand if you'd prefer minimal interaction with us during your stay. If you'd rather have your space and enjoy complete privacy, that’s absolutely fine — we’re often outdoors working on the farm and typically only around in the evenings. However, we’re always happy to help with anything you need, and we are just a text or call away whenever you may need.

As this is a working farm, the hosts may not always be available in person. But, as you have the use of the kitchen and the small sitting room to yourselves, you can make yourselves right at home.

Other things to note:

We have a small dog and two cats who live in our home.

Points forts : Propreté
Linda was a stellar host! From the beginning of our communications long before our trip, she was responsive and made excellent recommendations. Her family picked us up from the airport and then drove us to the bus station where we were able to get into Dublin to some amazing events. They also picked us up from the bus stop on our return to the house and then drove us back to the airport the next day. We had a very short trip, but because of Linda and Richard's generous hosting we were able to make the very most of our time in Dublin. The house was perfectly clean and very user friendly. The room with the fireplace was such a cozy way to spend time after a long day of travel. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean, with amenities like water and wine in the room for us. The bathroom was like a spa, with great water pressure in the shower, some high quality shower products, and other essential items available if you'd forgotten yours. Both Linda and Richard were incredibly helpful with anything we needed and we felt well taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay. If we are lucky enough to come back to Ireland there's no other place we will want to stay.
